Here's an actual example of the code. The boolean would be set in a collision coding to see if the player was on the ground or not. I prefer using small amounts with "always" since it's a smoother look.

I see what you're saying, but I'm trying to keep away from Always code. I've managed to move most of my game into events and it has improved performance on iOS alot. Maybe I'll do a "Do every 0.02 Seconds" which at 60fps is almost once per frame.

Because I only need it for eye candy, once each level, I'll try to keep away from always.
