After Image Behavior

After Image allows you to draw just that, after images for your actors. It has messages to activate/deactivate, you can set the delay between each image, the fade out speed of the images and the blend mode used. You can also press Play Now to see it in action.

Note:I swear there were already a behavior on forge just for this, but I couldn't find it for the life of me. Oh well, here is my version.

That's great. I worked first time for me when I attached it to Mambo. The effect looked really nice especially when jumping.

Nope. I have two actors on a scene using this effect with 0 delay, and it has no lag. It might cause in if you overuse it though.

Does this happen if you place the actor you want with the After Image alone in a scene? There might be another behaviorusing the move pen block, and it might be causing this issue. I'm not sure though, this is not happening in my game.

Then it's probably something in another behavior that's conflicting. You're using the catapult kit, perhaps someone with more knowledge about this kit can help. It's probably another behavior that uses the move pen by block. Anyway, I'll try to download the kit and reproduce your error.

Yep, that's something form the kit. When you ready the projectile to fling, it creates the bullet at the corner of the screen, then it hides the sprite. But, since you're using the after image behavior, it's drawing the sprite of the projectile even so.

How to fix: in your projectile, set the boolean "Activate" to false. Then, in the Slingshot behavior, in the part "If mouse was released", you'd place a block like the following:

If [the boulder that's attached has behavior After Image
tell [the boulder that's collided] to StartAfterImage for behavior After Image

It should fix your problem.

EDIT: Also, in the After Image behavior, place all the content in the "when drawing" inside this:

If <Activate>

Then it's fixed.
