How can I get my graphics nice and crisp?

Hey all,

I've created assets for my game in Adobe Illustrator, and saved them as PNGs. The original files look fine, but in Stencyl they look a bit fuzzy and some of the shapes have a thin black outline, almost like a shadow. The curved corners of the squares, and the circles, in particular look bad.

Any ideas how I might tidy this up? Different file format perhaps? Or is there a setting in Stencyl I should try?

not sure.. maybe the original graphics are too small.. import at 4x the resolution.. and let stencyl scale them

They're 128x128 in size and imported at 4x, unless that's too small?

1) make sure there is a bit of transparent bleed around the png graphic.
2)  Import using the file explorer import, not copy and paste. That doesn't allow for the precise transparency as in Photoshop or other graphics program. I wouldn't use the "pick transparent color" function either, I just make my graphics ready in Photoshop or Illustrator and you should too.

When I use Illustrator I always copy and paste in Photoshop so I never export from the former. By exporting the PNG from Photoshop, I never had a problem.

Hue Ball issue was resolved. It's already a featured game in iOS. Did you know that?

All he did was manually replacing the images.

When you publish a game as apk or for iOS, a folder with all the resources (images, sounds) will be created. You can replace the images one by one inside this folder to avoid the fuzzy images.
