Cool!

We went with number 4 in the end. But i think we're going to give it a more dog-like nose. And also, little hands.

Good idea! Also think that the first is hard to be the first.
But after creating various stages you reorder and selects the bests.

This is a example of game that would be useful to know with analytics which stage people have more difficulty, what is the best order of dificulty, and where they, leave the game for lack of variation / curiosity or other reasons that without analytics you never imagine.

Guri, thanks for your feedback! I have thought a lot about th

I have two ideas:

1. Players will be able to select any of the 10 levels in the first world which means that even if they hate one level, they can select another

2. you're right about analytics. I've spent the last year of my life playing this game over and over and for me it's so easy, but when i ask friends to try it, they have trouble with (what i consider) very easy levels! so yes, feedback and analytics are vital.

How do you post youtube videos directly into the forum? I've seen it done before...

update update update

I've been working with the graphic designer. I am not 100% sure I like the direction it's going in, graphically. Also, I'm finding it hard to make it clear that the block is a solid block! (I've tried a few different faux-3D shapes and 2D stuff as well, but it's hard to make it intuitive for the player).

Anyway, there is now a very basic tutorial and all 60 levels are complete.

Newest version. Next step is properly getting the menus system set up and looking good.

This has come a long way since you first messaged me ~6 months ago about your idea :)

Yeah, I regret not keeping more of the older versions to look at and compare (I still have the backups but I wish I had recorded the progress more rigorously).

Whitey: thanks for your help!

Finally! Here's my music video. Animation made in open office. It won some awards right before the whole project fell apart.

The demo levels are pretty fun :D The cannons were a neat twist. I wasn't expecting a timing element to the puzzles, but that's an interesting way to go about it.

I'm glad you like them because I have to say, I don't think the cannons really add that much!! I always wanted to make it a character-based game (rather than simply a sliding-blocks puzzle) so I thought a couple of other arcade elements (cannons etc) would be good, but in the end I don't really like how they turned out. It's frustrating and not in a good way. They are, however, a good way of keeping things interesting without complicating the puzzles too quickly.

Each of the 6 worlds introduces a new element (switches that have to be activated, half-donuts that you have to collect both of, cannons, buttons that have to be held down... etc).

Hey Tigerteeth,

Just saw your post over on the paid-section and checked out the latest version.

You made a lot of levels!

The levels themselves play great. You have a nice learning-curve there. The menu system could use some love so it is more obvious where to click.

Just this week I had a bug in my game that gave me the same game-mechanic you had (I'm looking for another game-mechanic!)
I played along with it and saw great opportunity. Good to see that you are still working on your project!

Question: will there be a level where you (as the player) are required to put some blockers/pushers on the grid to make use of them?
That seems to be a nice twist to the mechanic!?!
