+  Interlace effect added
+  Sound effects added
+  Failed interaction descriptions updated
+  Spirit orbs added. There's 100 hundred to collect. Many are just free-floating, some are hidden inside objects. Currently, they serve no purpose. Maybe you need a certain amount to reveal certain supernatural things?
+  Got someone working on the music.

For some people the grain effect was causing a lag up to 7 seconds when switching scene! So now disabling the grain effect doesn't just change the opacity of it to 0 but actually prevents the code from being run at all.

Still testing but I think it's very nearly ready for launch.

I'm still thinking about how to elevate this further. Do I make the graphics even more realistic/refined?

There also needs to be a purpose for the spirit orbs. At the moment you just collect them, but maybe they should be integral to completion of the game.

Very cool!
There is a game series i used to play on my Amgia 500. One game particular reminds me of your game. Not the art, not the design but the vibe if you know what i mean. It is called Uninvited.
