Bible trivia expert King David has found himself in a bind. He's stuck in the depths of Hades and must climb his way out. Along the way he'll jump over chasms, climb some stairs, climb some ladders, stub his toe, and DIE over and over!

Also, he might memorize a few Bible verses and collect some gold coins. More on that in future updates!

I like the concept, but the jumping feels a bit strange? like something is lifting him rather than him jumping

Yeah, I can kind of see that. One thing I'm planning on doing is changing the animation when King David jumps. I think this should help with how the jumping "feels". I don't know if you got to the end of the third level, but there's short steps right at the end, and you're gonna die if you don't lightly "tap" jump up them. I imagine I'll have to tweak jumping a bit to make the game slightly easier.

*EDIT: King David now jumps a bit higher and has a jump animation. I think it feels better, what do you think?

This game isn't bad, but at one part, it became too difficult for me.

After learning that there are levels, and it's not just 'see how far you can get' i eventually beat the game That said, i think a survival thing 'see how far you can get' implementing high scores and achievements would work really well!
also i find it a bit strange how you climb up a ladder then through the deadly lava you're trying to avoid... js
Also, add more levels! I was quite disappointed when it endedd XD

Hey, thanks for checking out my game and commenting! Right now I'm working on the "how did he get through the deadly lava?" part. The idea is that the lava rises each level, but I'm having a little trouble showing it. I want to show King David climb offs-screen at the end of each level and then show the lava rise. I will keep at it!

EDIT: I think I found a way to show the encroaching lava via level title screens. I added a main title screen too 

I like harcore games (like as "Battletoads" the game), but there is a crazy hardcore.

Haha, I like Battletoads too! I definitely think BTs is much more hardcore than my game. You do bring up a good point, I have the game checked under the "casual" category, because it's one button and pick-up-and-play. But I don't plan on making the game any easier. In fact, I intend to make even harder modes available after the first play-through. I may consider taking this game out of the "casual" category, if we can take the term to mean easy.

Your're right it easier than Battletoads.

I would put a skip intro button. Most players don't have much patience....some will leave before seeing the game...

Thanks for checking it out. It is set up so if you jump the intro skips to the first level, and you can hit the jump button to skip the stage titles. Maybe I should add a blinking message "jump to start" though. Thanks for the suggestion! Btw, more levels are coming! To release this as a demo, I'm adding at least two more levels, and end screen, and sound.
