As some of you will know, I am currently writing a Stencyl "Beginner's Guide" for Packt Publishing (more details at www.theStencylBlog.com)

My intention is to include information about resources that will be useful for game-designers, and I'd be very grateful for ideas and contributions for links to web sites containing audio and graphics that can be used in games.

I'd like to have a good list of free resources, but will also include paid-for resources if they are low-cost / good value.

I'm quite happy to include information about commercial web sites, especially if some free resources are available on those sites.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Just wanted to make a suggestion for the book. As a first time game maker of casual web based games, I've been floored by how easy it is to accidentally create a 10mb download game. I've had to learn the differences between file types png/jpg/gif, look for free online optimisers, started cropping milliseconds off mp3 clips, optimising mp3 filesizes etc.
Now available for all Android Devices - Happy Face Concentration
My Games To Date
Find A Face / Hero Of Oda / Snakes And Ladders
Hungry Monkey available at fgl.com for Sponsorship

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, the content for the book was fixed several months ago!

Innes, you might wanna remove this link from your book. The website doesn't exist anymore.

I have some audio tracks made with game development in mind: http://mkronline.newgrounds.com/audio/

They're free for non-commercial use, which is probably the kind of game most people reading your book will make.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.

The book's content has been finalised, so I'm 'unstickying' this thread.

Please don't be offended if your suggestion(s) did not appear in the book. We just ran out of space in the end, and couldn't include everything!

There's a link to the book here:
