Charity Developer looking for Musician

Hello all,
I am a veteran at Stencyl, having made several games and tutorials over the years, some pushing 4/5 stars on Kongregate (with my old profile as "Abigayl"). The thing is that I give 100% of my revenue to charity, so I cannot pay for music. Thus far, I have been getting by with the music from WrathGameStudios (http://wrathgames.com/blog/free-development-resources/music/), but I realize that custom music can really help to make or break a game, and I'm getting a bit tired of constantly using the same tracks.

Thus, this request is to see if anyone is interested in making free music for my games. I don't make them often anymore (I do have a small maze game, which is nearing completion, and I could use a piece for it). What I CAN offer is a link on the main page of the game that goes to your site.

Please let me know if you are interested or want more details. I do realize I ask for a lot for little in return, but I figured I'd might as well ask.

Thank you for reading.

If you need help, send me a PM. Even if I haven't been on in the forums in ages, I still receive those messages via email notifications. You can also reply to any of my forum posts, regardless of the age (especially if I created it), and I will likely reply.

You will get someone who will do the music for free.

but be careful, when a person works for free, it can go away at any time, lack motivation.

sometimes you'll want to pay, maybe a little (eg 50, 60 Euros) but this allows you to have a trusted person who compose for you.

this is just a suggestion. :)

Aye. Like I said though, there is no money for the games, so there really isn't a way to pay the composer.

As a composer myself, I think you have two options.
Either your games (in general) really have to inspire someone to offer their services to YOU directly (and not to an individual project), or you need to look for a composer for each project as and when they come up.

In my case, I was so impressed by a certain project (an animated sci-fi web series) that I told the guy I would do all the music and sound mixing he would ever need from now on, for free. You've really got to inspire someone for that though. You may be better off advertising the job for each new game you make. :)

I'm sure plenty of people will help you out with free music, since you are notorious for helping out people for free with programming.

MetalRenard: That's why my post was both for in general and specifically for my maze game ;). It's also why I brought up my old account as there are many who recognize the name "Abigayl" who may not recognize that it's still me.

GameGirl: Thanks :)

As previously mentioned, you work hard helping out other people on this forum.  You're always guiding people and helping them with their problems and offering up free demos.  Also, I like you as a person.

Because of all of that, I will offer my services as a musician to you, when I am free to do so.  If you ever need a song created, shoot me a PM and I will see what I can whip up for you.  It's the least any of us could do.
PM me if you require help.  I'm always glad to help out!
