Unfortunately I won't be making it even for the Jam, it's about 10 minutes left and I've still got a couple hours of work ahead, I'm still totally gonna finish the game, and probably would have made it in time if I didn't waste most of the first day, but whatever.

All in all it was pretty fun and I'm totally gonna try again next time (as well as maybe make a fuller version of my game, Petrichor, sometime).

Alright. I finished my game in the last minute! You can play it here on the Stencyl Arcade, if you want to: http://www.stencyl.com/game/play/26114

It was pretty tight for me. I found out about the Ludum Dare Saturday night. Managed to get something made before the Sunday deadline though. Lucky I didn't hit a ton of last minute bugs xD

My first Ludum Dare in which I actually failed to deliver. The problem was simply that my idea was too ambitious. Next time I need to make a game with less focus on numbers and value tweaking.

I violated my own jam rule number 1: Keep it simple. Lesson learned.

I'll most likely still finish the game, now that I don't have a tight time limit breathing on my neck all the time.

M.E. violated it as well !

But it wasn't my number 1. My number one is : Have fun

But you are absolutely right: K.I.S.S.

Maybe next time I will be making out :)

I had lots of fun even though I failed, I was in awesome skype chat group with awesome and talented people, and it was fun to discuss game making and share progress and critique.

My first idea totally would have done that; really complicated design requirements, no idea how to even begin to approach the programming, most likely very little real substance beyond the novelty anyway.

At least my final idea will be finished with 3 days of starting (literally all that's left now is putting in the sound, title, and credit screens), though not during the competition/jam; because I violated my number 1 rule as well: Remember to start on time.

Still, nearly a day late is better than last time, when I found out about the compo with less than 5 minutes remaining...

This Ludum Dare was 4 entries short of hitting 2500 entries.

:o

I've known about Ludum Dare for about two years now, but it seems like its just exploded (again?) in the span of the last year.

I've been trying to focus on games with low # ratings, stencyl-made games, and people who posted on my game. I'll get to that one if I can :)

I found http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=29186 in the lowest ratings pile. It was pretty funny.

The mining one is very good. I would be surprised if it doesn't place in the top rankings/

Irk... First one I entered only had 1800, and I thought that was insanely large. Its kinda cool that I can say I was the 50th person to submit a game out of 2500. ;)

I'm surprised Drop Up only has 6 ratings.

To the rest of the stencyl projects, I'll try to rate your games soon. I'm almost done rating the people who have left comments on my game :)
