Screen Resolution

I'm curious as to what screen resolution most people use. The reason is because it will help me for web design, though most websites I've seen fit on a 1024 x 768 screen, some do not.

The issue is some have 4:3 and some have 16:9, so I suggest you take one of two routes:
1. Design for the majority resolution, probably what you use.
2. Design dynamically so any resolution works. This means a lot of % in your code :)

At the moment I only know some basic HTML. I'm still working on learning tables o_O!

I have a 21 inch monitor with a resolution of 1680x1050, my sister has a laptop with a 15 to 17 inch monitor with the same resolution, most people I know don't have a resolution under 1280x800 (or similar)

Steam survey has the following information: http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey

I use a 1024x768 screen resolution, on a 19" monitor. Would never want to use a bigger resolution on that monitor as it would hurt my eyes.

Wow that is so low, I just set my screen to that resolution and everything is so massive I can't function properly.

My resolution is 1366x768 on a CQ56. I'm happy they got in the CQ57's at walmart instead now - they look like a really good system despite the odd arrow key setup.

At least it's not as low as 800x600, the screen resolution I had on my old computer (where it had a 15" CRT monitor).

My computer runs on a television. Big enough? I think not.

1360x768. I'm thinking about getting a second screen for the heck of it. Dual televisions FTW.

The little web design that I've done was full of percentage widths to make sure it works nicely on any reasonably sized monitor. I find it irritating when a website is only using the middle third of the screen on big displays :/

My monitor's only 1280x800, though.

I alternate between a 1440x900 res at my parents and a 1920x1800 at my place.
