Mibibli's Quest

After over 2.5 years of work, I was able to finish this game! Mibibli's Quest! It's a combination of the very strange mixed with very classic retro-ness. I think it's good and other people tell me they really like it, so check it out! It has lots of stuff in it and if you're a fan of the strange or surreal then you might like this game, as well as if you're a fan of difficult retro platformers. If you're a fan of both, then... hooray!

You can find the game at the above link, it's pay what you want, which means you can download it completely for free if you want.

Here's a stylish trailer:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/LM9VgAL5npM?hl=en_US&amp;amp;version=3" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/LM9VgAL5npM?hl=en_US&amp;amp;version=3</a>
(or you can just check out the same trailer embedded on the above itch.io link)

Also (assuming you're not reading this too far into the future) this game currently has a banner at the top of these forums, so that's cool, and maybe it's a sign that you should play this game! :D

The game has some swears and minor pixel nudity so beware of that I suppose.

I really want to try it! But I'm on Linux.
Any news of a Linus version?

I'll have to try this out!  Looks really quirky and cool.  Right up my alley.

You might be able to play it if you download one of the non-linux versions and just run the .swf file inside. (The game was stuck on 2.x version of Stencyl so it's in Flash) I can't say 100% if this works because I've never heard from someone on Linux about it but I don't see why it wouldn't I guess. Tell me how it goes!

A Linux version could be exported the same way as the Mac - open on Flash Player on Linux and export the projector.

OH! Damnit, for some reason I was assuming that wasn't possible. I should really get that done.

great game, as expected the difficulty is crazy. Also true to the old school days of no infinite retries. I do think it would have been nice to have endless lives because then i would get to travel further into the world and see the mystical things ahead of me. Instead  i find myself wasting too many lives until i eventually work out how to pass an obstacle but then having to start from the beginning causes me to leave it for another day.

I guess that says more about me and modern gaming than about your game, But i feel only the chosen few with mad skills and dedication will get to see all the wonders of Mibiblis Quest.

Fantastic work! I especially appreciate the variety your game offers.

Hi Ryan Melmoth
Will this game possibly come out on iOS and Android in the future? (requires Studio)
Also what did you use to make the sprites, sounds and music?
I want to become a Indie game dev just like you can Scott Cawthwon so thank you :)
Any way do you know any other helpful Crash Courses, other than the 2 official ones and helpful Challenges, other than the 2 official ones. When I mean helpful I mean helpful for a indie dev like you, because the games you make are amazing  :D
