I used joints extension to make a cauldron that can hold little pieces of meat and you can push or shoot the cauldron to make the meat fall out.

You could try like a lava/acid type of approach with your cauldron idea. Maybe run into it and have it pour its contents for a puzzle perhaps. Pretty neat though.
