Hi!  :D

It looks like something changed. My Stencyl games don't load properly anymore.

...but my old Flash stuff seems OK...

(Flash Paper)

I'm not sure what's wrong, but I'm thinking maybe a recent Flash update broke something with Stencyl Flash games.

This is still a problem.

I wasn't sure if it was HTTPS / SSL related, so I did  a quick test without using https. The games still wouldn't load.

With HTML5 not yet supported, ports of iPhone games running poorly and Flash not working right, Stencyl is becoming a disappointment.

I don't understand why this is so difficult. The games work locally. But when I upload them to the website, I just get a blank space.

Do the games work on other websites?

Do the games work on other websites?

The games are site locked to photics.com, but I did test it on another website and it worked.

That's not good. It means there's a problem with my site. I'm not sure why it would run other flash files but not Stencyl Flash files.

I did some searching and it seems that there can be trouble when Flash and SSL / https are used. I'm not sure if that's what's going on here. The main difference between the test site and the live site is the ssl certificate. Also, the problem is at the loading screen. (The progress bar flashes onscreen for a split second.)

Is the Flash file loading off-site files?

This problem is so odd.

This Flash file works... https://photics.com/files/shooting.swf
...but this one doesn't... https://photics.com/files/tomatoes.swf

The "shooting" project is a much smaller project though.

Flash is dying, so I'm thinking that maybe I should just relax until HTML5 is working. Although, I don't know when - or if - that will be ready.
