Game crashes on boot? Then eventually works.

I might have found another important clue in this case guys.

I figured that setting the scaling mode to no scaling makes my game completely stable and it launches good every time now. I came to this idea after seeing the weird scaling numbers generated in the log when he sended the APK to to my device (see link). This particular game has nothing but one actor, one scene and one behavior with multitouch functions.

Perhaps it could be that some devices cant handle the floating point scaling factors?

Ignore that...
After at least 30 flawless installs and a smooth running game, it kept crashing again for no reason.
However, I did notice that now all of the sudden it says scale X and scale Y are set to 2? I never changed the scaling settings in the mean time...

So what I did is i went to my only actor in the scene, enabled customize, delete the behavior and re-added it. This stopped the game from crashing on my tablet, however the game is scaled, even tho I never changed the settings above.

This is getting weirder and weirder hahaha

i have this problem also, but it only happens when i try to publish games in landscape mode.  portrait mode works fine though.

I remade the same game from my first post in stencyl 3.1 and the problem seems to have subsided alot, still a crash every now and then but not a damaging amount, about a 90% fix

I have this problem also xD. From time to time my games crash on start. The only way i found to reduce it to the "minimum" is to not load nothing at the beginning and make my first scene a black screen, load here my logo background and switch to my logo scene after 1 second and load the rest there. But anyway it crashes from time to time, not a lot or a big issue now but it's still there xD. In the other hand i've never had this problem with my iOS games, only android.

thanks captaincomic, i have installed the last stencyl private build and i have tried several times and my last game doesnt crash. Also when i close it , it's not running in the background so this is a major improvement, because now, it it crashes, since it totally closes you can restart it from 0. The problem before was that when it crashed and you closed it , it was still running in the background so it was not going to start again unless you went to your settings menu and manually close the process (or you were lucky).

But i have found another issue. My game size has jumped from 17mb to 21 with this new stencyl version.......

Edit: I did clean project and added chartboost and admob and it went down to 20.97 xD...i notice some size increment but not that much

I think some size increase is to be expected with the new 64-bit libraries.
