I am happy to announce that Radical Spectrum: Volume 1 is up on Steam Greenlight.

Credits:
Art/Design: Matthew Scott Cohen
Music/SFX: Yun Xiang Chong (chongyunxiang - Craftdio)
Programming: Chuck O'Brien (Ceosol)
Publisher: New Reality Games
Brought to you by: Autonomic Interactive

Story:
A band of aliens lead by the careless Prince FaceBox have invaded the future city of Nucleusport, bombarding it with radioactive waste from their own polluted planet. Only one man has the tech and the cojones to fight back. Take on the role of Doc DuBrane and wield his super-powerful Prisma Cannon in this endless arcade-style shooter. Absorb the radiation dropped by the alien ships and fire it right back in their stupid faces.

Radical Spectrum is a classically-inspired arcade game with infinitely increasing speed and difficulty, featuring a unique color-collecting mechanic that adds a light puzzle element. It will require you to focus your attention on multiple things at once, as the bottom of the screen becomes an ever-changing and increasingly difficult bullet-hell landscape, while the ultimate goal keeps flying around the top of the screen. And don't forget about the deadly black radiation coursing through the grid. One drop of that and the whole place is toast.

More Info:
As you can catch in the video and story above, the game is a retro-arcade style with pixelart graphics. This is the first game in the series (hence Volume 1). The core game is basically done. I just need to finish programming the story and fixing a bug with overlapping enemy faces. It will be ready for publication and release on Steam when it gets Greenlit. Thank you in advance for votes!

Saw the game in Steamlight without knowing that it was developed by you until I saw the credit ;) Seems a very good game.

What's constant flashing?

The artist/designer decided to have flashing in the video. Everybody is talking about the earlier version of the video. The game itself doesn't actually have any constant flashing going on :)

Radical Spectrum got Greenlit a few days ago. Thank you everyone for your votes!

I am just finishing up squashing some bugs and we'll be set to release in a couple of weeks. I am really digging Yun's music for level 3. I could just listen to it on loop :)

11 days since the release. It is just shy of the 10,000 mark. We are currently working on an extra character pack update. We're also beginning development on game #2 in the series.

This was posted on June 03. How is it then Just 11 days since release? I still don't understand Greenlit completely.

Is it like you'll post about a game and can get greenlit even when the game is in production stage?

What does the price mean at the right side of the axis? Does the price of the game increase as it ages or generates more visits? (Question sounds silly, I know. But I can't understand how price is related to visits).

You can post a game right when the idea pops into your head... or you can post after the game is already finished. Ghost song was greenlit a while it was still mostly in the conceptual phase. Dead6hot was already finished when it entered greenlight. So when it was greenlit, the game was then published a few days later. We finished RSV1 after it had gotten greenlit. For whatever reason, they decided to wait a few weeks extra before publishing it.

The price is how much it costs on steam. Steam has release sales for 33% off. That is why the price changed.
