Saves remaining when updating game?

Hello!

I was just curious, does Stencyl have a feature, or maybe there is some sort of extension, that allows creators to update their game on websites without erasing any previous save data for players? Does it depend on the website/platform you upload on?

Or does every user's saves always reset when you update your game, i'd imagine there has to be some way...

I have no real idea how this stuff works, hopefully someone smarter than me knows something.

Thanks!

I can only speak from some limited experience that on kongregate and newgrounds the save files are still the same when you upload a new version.

Well, on mobile, and i assume it is the same with flash, the save file is saved with upgrades..

If you update any Global Attributes between versions, you'll need to manually set them in code after using a load block..
That is any attribute already in version 1.

Any new attributes will be used and saved
