NOTE: The price of this kit will be increased by the 12th of February!

Use the "Stencyl Mobile game kit" to create a headstart with your next mobile game project! It can create multiple controller layouts with push buttons and thumbsticks that can be used in several types of games. The kit will automaticly detect the screensize and orientation, and will adjust the placement of the components accordingly. The kit also includes an in-game preference editor where players can change the size of their controllers, so they are always the perfect size, no matter how big or small the player's device is.

The kit currently includes:
- 2 buttons L / 2 buttons R layout (v1.0)
- Thumbstick L / 2 buttons R layout (v1.1)
- Thumbstick L / Thumbstick R layout (v1.2)
- Fully functional example scenes and player behaviors (v1.2.1)
- "when button was pressed / is down / was released" statements (v1.3.0)
- Centered thumbstick layout (v1.4.0)
- Thumbstick direction lock (v1.4.0)

The following wil be added soon:
- Easy admob advertisements manager
- Easy iap (In App Purchase) manager
- In-depth documentation with video examples

Known issues:
n.a.

Sounds great, TIS! Will I be able to upgrade when the additional features get available?

I decided to add all types of mobile controller in the same package, so yes =)
As a matter of fact, the updated version will be online tonight!

The kit has been updated, and rather then just limiting this particular kit to controller layouts, more stuff will be added eventually! Check out the original post for future additions =)

"- Thumbstick L / Thumbstick R layout" is added to the controller layouts. Next I wil start focussing on a simple to use framework for admob ads.

Hi, what's the best way to link controllers to player character? I know that's a big question but I just need a hint to get started.

Here are a couple of examples!

*examples removed due to changes to the core mechanics*

I will add the other statements like "when X is pressed" and "when X is released" with the next update, but i was looking into creating custom blocks with dropdown lists instead, so the blocks will be more user friendly.

Let me know if this works for you!

Stop me if I'm asking too many questions.
When I set camera to centre on my player sprite the buttons do not line up with their touch points anymore. In your code it looks like they are anchored to the screen though. What am I doing wrong?

I've tried putting the camera code in a behaviour, in actor events and in scene events.

This topic is for support so dont worry about it =)

Do the images still appear in the right spot?
Can you send me a screenshot as well?

Thanks. Yes the images still stay in the same place.  I've  tried using  both 'when updating' and 'every 0.5 seconds' with 'move camera to x and y of actor.' I will have to put up screenshots tomorrow. I'm intrigued how you move camera in space spectator.

I found the issue. I tried this kit on my RPG tutorial project, but in that project, the camera never moves. A new version will be available in the next hour!

Everything is fixed and optimized, and now also includes 2 fully functional example scenes with top down and platformer example player behaviors!
