Thanks, yeah actually a timer would be better, I may look into that in future updates. It was tricky finding a good place to show the adverts with this one, you would think it would be as simple as show advert on death, however, have you noticed you die on almost every level just as you make the shot XD I actually try to kill you so I can move the camera to the ball. So the advert would so as the ball is going into the hole. Also showing one as the score board shows up didn't feel right, kind of like "well done, now here is your punishment"

So advert on scene start after a restart is not ideal, but I stand by it being the best placement for this game.

Yeah, I see the trouble. Perhaps it would be better to show the ad before the scene restarts, that way the player doesn't start moving and then get interrupted?

That could be an option, but I see it as risky, you are then having to deal with things like, if advert is closed reload scene, then if an advert fails to show or is delayed you could find yourself stuck on the game over scene, also if people are playing without internet my current set up would just pause the game on reload then you press resume, where as the other option would be waiting for an advert to close that is never coming. There is probably ways to do it with if advert fails to load etc. I feel I took the safer option.

Feature is Kinda expected ;) Is there any game that you missed it?

My first game Wheelie Legend didn't get a feature. My Second game Golf is Hard got Best new games in Europe only, and the feature only lasted for 4 days as it was right after Christmas.

I'm not a fan of skill-jump pixel-perfect platformers. Yet, I had a lot of fun playing this. I think the addition of the slow motion putt putt golf was hugely innovative. Your game has some interesting mechanics.

Not as hard as I was expecting, but still really fun. Other than the speed runs, which I have yet to conquer, I completed it,fairly quickly.
Can't wait for the next update!

Great! Congrats for feature. I think it is better than other games you released and one of the best games made by Stencyl.

Another couple of weeks before the android release, an update to the iOS version will be live in about 2 weeks.

Just downloaded it.  Amazing game!  I've been browsing the forums for a while and came across a few of your threads. It seems like most of your games are featured by Apple!  As a new developer with a game in the works, are there any pre-publishing tips you could share?  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Some tips would be, try to get as much feedback as possible before release.  In general apple like very clean, consistent art styles. I personally feel that the art is maybe the most important factor of getting noticed by apple. Other than that make a forum post on Touch arcade, try to get some articles from mobile gaming sites before release.

Golf Zero has been out in the wild for a couple of weeks now, here are some numbers.

Total downloads so far is 771k
Total revenue is around $33k

Things dropped of pretty quick after the major features ended, we just pushed a big update of 40 more levels and that seems to have gained us a few new features. Hopefully that will give it a little boost for the next few days.
