My game has now been uploaded to the internet. Now, it's a matter of seeing if the over a month of focused work has paid off...

It is a Tower Defense game in the same general style of the classic Protector series.

For more details, you can read my journal: http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,51932.0.html

I welcome any feedback on it, both positive and negative. Also, don't forget to rate it (but only if you enjoyed it! :P)

The game definitely has a nice framework to it. The turrets do what they should and the random map and random tree code adds a really nice touch of randomness to the game so it doesn't get boring -- so bonus points for replay-ability. The concept itself is fun enough to be its own genre. I can imagine once you get in decent graphics/gui for the game it'll be up to par with the protector series.

My 2 cents (:
All in all, nice game so far, just keep working on it.

I really could use some more ratings (even if not 5/5) to help get the game out of "under judgement"

Thank you to all who have rated it :)

same from me :-)

Some better explanation of what things do would be nice indeed (I make the same mistake with my games too). Also it would be nice if there were a button to slow speed down quicker than adjusting the slider. When you play on speed 1 and an enemy goes through, the game is as good as over. I played tower defense games quite a bit and always played on fast mode until something goes through, I slow down immediately and built towers/throw bombs etc.

Thanks for the feedback. Will add in a pause button. The explanations will take time though.

Seemed really awesome! However, the rinky dink laptop I was trying to play it on can't handle it and I was lagging lol. Will try again when I get home to my desktop.

How bad was the lag and when was it? I was doing as much optimization as I could to avoid lag.

So I closed out a bunch of programs that were running in the background and gave it another honest shot, and it helped out a lot. The only time I lagged was the fireworks cinematic played in the beginning and after I beat a level. I think that just shows the performance of this computer though and not necessarily your game. This computer can't run terraria.

I five starred it. I really like the upgrade feature you gave to each tower, that gives a lot of customization.
