EDIT:
For those who have just found this forum thread, it's fifteen pages long as of now so I'll give you some of the more relevant pieces of information, but feel free to read all fifteen pages worth of it if you really want to.
Poppytail is the first game in the series. A middle-aged man named Alex receives a letter from a man named Walter Turnbull, a man who has been missing for at least three decades, to come back to the video gaming company where they used to work, Rosemary Games. Upon driving to Rosemary Games, Alex becomes trapped in the building, which is full of monsters that want to kill him.
Poppytail 2 continues the story of the original game, with Alex and old friend Alice entering a room with three doors, and one has the exit behind it. They choose to go through the left door to see if they can find the exit. This game contains twice the amount of monsters as the last game as well as many new challenges.
Poppytail 3 is the third game in the series, taking place after Poppytail 2. After going through the left door, Alex and Alice wind up back in the Pathway Room again, this time choosing the middle door. However, Alex is also becoming severely dehydrated and is in desperate need of water. Just as well, because the monsters behind the middle door have access to a water supply. This game has fourteen more monsters and more hidden storyline.
Poppytail 4 is the fourth game in the series, taking place after Poppytail 3. Alex and Alice drink from the water supply at the end of the middle door's path. This time they know the exit must be behind the right door. After going through, they find some familiar looking faces, although these monsters look a little different and are much more aggressive. And this game has actual sound, more monsters and more story.
Poppytail 5 is one of my current projects, following the journey of a man named William. After hearing rumours about monsters being in the Rosemary Games building in which he used to work, he goes back in disbelief, ignorance and curiosity. He ends up falling through a trapdoor, and must survive through five days worth of being stuck in a small area filled with even more murderous monsters. This game features different gameplay to the other games, and will feature new music, voice acting and 3D model graphics.
Pixeltail is another one of my current projects, taking place one year after the original Poppytail. After Alex and Alice re-enter Rosemary Games after receiving another letter from Walter Turnbull, they decide to go back again in search of him, as Turnbull states that he needs their help. This game will have a brand-new pixel art style, music, voice acting and more 3D models (maybe).
The series also has lots of hidden lore for you to find (if you can find it), which is mostly told in the form of hidden minigames (PT2-PXT), nightmares (PT1, PXT), and audio recordings (PT5).
I won't give away too much about my current projects, but just go to the last few pages of this thread for more info on those.
There is also a Poppytail RPG called The Poppytales that I will pick back up working on after I finish PT5 and PXT (it's not cancelled) and another unrelated game called Century Game that's link I posted on here due to it probably being a waste of a new forum topic in my opinion. You can find the links to those along with the other links below.

PT2 = Poppytail 2
PT3 = Poppytail 3
PT4 = Poppytail 4
PT5 = Poppytail 5
PXT = Pixeltail

Just in case you didn't already know.
ORIGINAL POST:
Hello,
I have been working on a Desktop game for a while and it's almost ready to release. It's called Poppytail.
The basic plotline is that a middle-aged man called Alex, a former programmer for Rosemary Games (which is basically the Poppytail universe's Nintendo) is invited via a letter to come back to their old building. After finding it abandoned and potentially renovated, the letter's sender and Alex's coworkers are seemingly missing. Also, the doors lock behind him and trapped in the building with him are cute-looking creatures who want to kill him. His only chance to survive is to run for his life, and maybe start to find out what happened to his old company.
The game is in five chapters, with six monsters to keep track of, the first of which to be seen is Poppytail. The game relies mostly on strategy, as if you do something wrong, they will kill Alex. This is one of my first games, so the game has no sound and graphic-wise isn't the best. But I hope when it is released, you will give it a go. The game will be released on GameJolt. Warning: Bad jumpscares and rage quits are almost certain.
I'll post a link here when I have the game released. Meanwhile, feel free to ask any questions about the game.
