I have a really ambitious game i want to make with stencyl.  i have many small mechanics i can combine to make a huge game.  i hate seeing all the stencyl is blank posts and others moving their big games to other engines.  this will be made 100 percent with stencyl and i wont move to another engine!
Please let me know if you find any bugs while playing around with this
Ill post more when i have more time

Id like to see if anyone else would like to contribute to game mechanics, graphics,  or sounds in that order..  ill program the game first then move to graphics then sounds.
If anyone wants to help make things to add to the big game, please let me know



WORKING ON
Map engine- 
will use the engine to make an Explore the World App, then move on to NEXT PROJECT WITH MAP

i wont need graphics yet, any shared mechanics can be place holder graphics, view is legend of zelda from the snes
things ill;

NEED
longitude and latitude extension for mobile
rpg level system
hunting, fishing , mecahnics
enemy, animal, and npc ai


HOPE
being able to send attributes across network  from game to game (not real time)

HAVE
real location places and weather
google maps
street view is close
ip lat and long


BUGS
set player to current location with button, show on map correctly closer
make movement relative to map long and lat

Neat to see another large scale project. I'm not sure where this is going, but what you have so far is pretty cool. I managed to get the red dot on my town  8)

thank you.. im not really sure where im going either.. well.. the final form.. right now i am creating a giant open world, working on overworld maps now.. then ill need to make the levels procedural generate a certain way.. i may ask you for some math help ;)

updated some posts and added a video :)  too bad i cant get the demo in the arcade  :(  flash doesnt support what im doing.. maybe a mobile demo soon!

Updated first post with new videos showing 2 zoom levels amd smooth zooming of the stencyl engine..
Text doesnt zoom, and there is time in game now as well..  better weather effects and i keep adding map types and small things here and there.  I hope to have a playable demo on html5 if i can get joysticks working.. or a beta release on mobile so anyone who wants to try it out and help me find bugs or give me ideas of what i can add into the game or maps engine

Thank you my friend! And thanks to you (M.E.) i present this first video using gps.. 1st map load is of the isp of device.. 2nd is actual location of the device.  I will make another video soon after i can update the plane in real time on map!

It is great.
I thought of stencyl as just a game making engine, but now what you have made is changing my point of view.
It is more type of an app or software than game    ;P

Thank you!  I used open weather api to get the weather.. its not too hard to use once its in the game..  i will make a behaviour for it eventually. 
And i am making some apps.. i have done android natively for a few years.. never tried ios.. so i converted  to stencyl so i can design once for android.. and publish to ios also.. i am getting ios account soon

Transposing the y,x to lat,long is accurate within 200 feet of moving after the initial position.. moving farther away makes it less accurate on the map.. ill tweak this as i go.. map tiling needs to be fixed because the earth is a sphere.. where i am i have almost perfect tiling.. as i go farther from me.. as in east coast usa.. africa ect.. the tiling spreads.. ill need some math.. or an open beta for people to help test tiling and send screen shots.. maybe later this month
and minimal map updates.. i need to fix the player hitting the 0 point before maps loads.. makes it look like it jumps
