Making actor stop while dialog running

Hello! I am making a basic RPG where I want the actors on screen to freeze while the dialogs are running, to make sure the player can focus on the dialog. I cannot find an attribute or a behavior or anything which I can use to connect when a dialog box is running and any events stopping actors from moving. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

What I did is created a boolean attribute called "moveable" and set up in the player actor's events so that
[if moveable=true]
[up pressed?]
[set [y] speed to -5]


[if moveable=false]
[up pressed?]
[set [y] speed to 0]

Just set moveable to false before all dialogue blocks and set it back to true when the dialogue is complete.
