Probably should've asked this before, do entries need to be made for any particular platform? I've been making mine for Windows.

Flash or html5?  I think.  Because you upload it to itch... 

Whats best scale, screen size, target platform.. flash or html5? ect for game jam entry.. like a best practices

I'm thinking that RPG characters' levels tend to elevate. Could be something I could develop in Stencyl.

I'm working on a metroidvainia stye game with lots of upgrades. I'm have too different ideas for the plot. The first would be about someone stranded on a mountain. The second would tackle the theme in an abstract way and would be about an alien who's captured by an evil corporation and has to stop his technology from being used for evil,  meaning the plot would be about stopping negative elevation.

Shoot!  My favorite animal haha.. why didnt i think of that.. i am doing climbing and joints.. i wont do sloth though haha. I need to put up a demo tomorrow so i can get some feedback..   i just really want fun controls!

Do you have to make your own music or can you use free music? What about pre-existing tile sets.

Also is there a size limit for the file?

We are going away during Eastern, so I don't have anymore time left.

You play as a whirlwind to elevate stuff.

Had planned a lot more (as usual), but at least I have some kind of a small game.

I’ve been working on a game where you can’t move the player; you can only move their platform up and down. I’ve made it a boss rush shooter. I’ve finished 36 bosses so far, my end goal is 45.
