Course / Study questions

I have taken a few Stencyl classes - and they're all great, but they all teach you how to build a specific thing so you don't really learn how all the features work.

Is there a Stencyl course that teaches like we learned Math in school?
Where you learn how to do something and then the instructor gives you assignments where you need to create the same thing, but a little differently using everything you have learned from that lesson and some things from previous lessons, so it really cements the concepts into your head?

Every course I find is either 'Build X' or a really long winded explanation of features.
I'm looking for more of a this is the feature, this is how you use it, now do these 3 things with it - and each lesson builds on itself.
I'm not looking to build a specific thing type of course as much as I'm wanting to really learn what every feature does in combination with each other.

You should read Stencylpedia: http://www.stencyl.com/help/toc/

At the end of most Stencylpedia lessons, there are challenges.
