Encountered errors while building game

Designed game in build b10449. All was ok. Opened the game in build b10536. Compilation for publish to android was manually stopped after about 5 hours of ongoing compilation. Compilation for Flash Player is ok. Publishing for android was restarted. Compilation for  both test and publish fails while building game. Attached log is from test to android. Compilation for publish to android was manually stopped after about 4 hours of ongoing compilation. After restarting the publish to android, the error message came.

The log does, amongst other things, say "What went wrong: Could not create service of type FileHasher using....). I do not know what that means.

Please help.

Something about another instance of Gradle already running, it seems. You said you stopped compile manually, but the logs say you just saved the game. That doesn't stop the compile, so seems to explain this specific error.

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I did manually stop compiling by clicking Save Game. Maybe that is not the correct way of doing it, but the only way I knew of. After doing this I cleaned the log, started the publishing to android again and promptly got the error message and saved the log which is the one I attached above.

· Have now rebooted the PC, started Stencyl b10536 and opened the game.
· Test Game => Flash Player - took a couple of minutes but worked fine.
· Test Game => Android - took an hour, but worked fine.
· Publish => Mobile => Android - took ten minutes and worked fine.

Working with software is a confusing passtime.   :-)

Yes, as Luyren said, saving the game does NOT stop compiling. It only makes the progress dialog go away. Currently, there's no way to actually stop a compilation apart from closing Stencyl or manually closing related processes in your operating system's task manager.

I'm working on an overhaul of our system for long running tasks, including a better progress display, so that one progress overlay doesn't cancel out another, and also to allow cancellation of certain long-running tasks, like compiling games. They'll be available in the next major release.
