I've swapped in a copy that doesn't ask you to update.

Ever? ...or just to 1.3.4?

Ever - I generally don't like previews to be used permanently, so I wire them not to update.

There's no Code Sign Identity in there, which usually means that you mixed up the fields or tried passing in your .cer file directly rather than the portable .p12 file - could you snapshot your preferences > mobile screen?

Thank you for the speedy response - it was exactly that!

All working great now! Top stuff.

I should be safe if i copy the games and ios-games folder to my desktop. Then drag the new Stencyl file to applications and then copy back the above folders ??

Cheers !!

Yes - technically, you don't need to worry about the games-ios folder - the games are re-generated automatically for you. You just need to worry about the games folder.

I've written up a detailed guide on how to set up In-App Purchases.
http://blog.stencyl.com/?p=628

You'd think that there's a single guide on the internet for doing this - everything I found had information that was either wrong or out of date. After much trial and error, I pieced together the exact steps required to pull it off.

What does the "buy product with ID []" thingy do? Does it tell my app, that there is an item for sale in my game with that ID, or does it actualy buy the item?

If it only tells my game that there is an item to sell, then it should be called "sell product with ID []", otherwise I am confused.

Don't take it personally Jon, but sometimes your explanations are very vague (for me at least). I admire you, how fast you do things and how much you accomplish in a day, but sometimes I can only riddle about things...

btw I wrote a comment to that blog article and I tell it here too:

Be aware, that IAPs can be cracked if they are not checked and validated through your own server: http://xsellize.com/topic/157741-ob-iap-cracker-04-1-repo/

It's the actual action of telling iOS to initiate the transaction. iOS will pop up the yes/no dialog, and if the user clicks yes, the transaction will go through.

To me, sell is misleading - that would imply that the user is selling off their product (to get their money refunded).

Great job Jon, your'e the man..

I'm thinking of using the iap to get the user/player the possibility to remove the iad, would this be allowed from apple and doable in stencyl ?

I think it's a win win situation for the appcreator.

Chers !!

I think Apple would be OK with that, and it's fairly easy to do.

if(user has purchased AD-FREE-GAME)
{
    hideAd();
}

Since the ad already takes some time to download show up, they'll never see it this way. If it does show up earlier than we'd expect, I can put in a switch to get around it.

I believe Angry Birds actually does that, so it's definitely something that's possible and practical.

Of course it is allowed. We and many others do it in our apps all the time.

@Jon: Thanks. I was not sure if it is just some initiating thing or the actual sale thing. Now it is ok.
