Behavior Sandbox

A barebones template game for creating games to attach to Behaviors. The game has a single actor, a single scene. Just download the behavior, attach to the actor and attach the game to the behavior on Forge.

This generates a slick, standard sandbox for each behavior we wish to target.

For those who are too lazy to think, just do this.

1) Download the Behavior Sandbox game from Forge. Open it.
2) Download the Behavior you want to the game.
3) Open the Scene.
4) Double-click the actor.
5) Remove the existing behavior.
6) Attach the behavior you want and configure.
7) Test and Attach to the Behavior on Forge

For some games, the provided actor graphic is not appropriate. Make adjustments accordingly. Likewise, if the game needs a second actor, add it.

But don't change it for the sake of changing it. If it's a motion behavior, just stick to it!

My Light Source Demo can be turned into a kit to serve as a sandbox like this. Or I can incorporate the GUi into this sandbox game.

The GUI is configurable at some extent. You can specify the title, description, colors and fonts. A user willing to make a demo would only have to attach the GUI behavior to each scene and configure it according to its objective.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll upload it as kit, along with description, etc.

Also, the demo uses Flash's TextField and the fonts aren't embedded. Can someone check, on Mac and Linux, if the font is Myriad Pro, please? If not, does it fall back to a default font (Times New Roman?) or is it broken?

EDIT:

Never mind. I just checked on another PC and it defaults to Times New Roman. Embedding fonts doesn't show anything at all.
