Newbie on the block

Hello people, I'm new Stencyl, I would like to know, my planning is to develop iOS games, do I still need to go through all the Stencylpedia to get things start? And which version should i install? currently I've installed 2.0.

You don't have to go through it all, but it does help. I find tinkering works best! Its the only way you'll get some unique behaviours.

I'm reading stencylpedia now, and i've stucked at "2. Building Logic" - "What is a Behavior?", where can i download the source file to follow it step by step? i've found a COMPLETED source at stencylforge, it doesn't help it cause its COMPLETED!! it makes me so much confused, how can i follow? please help!

I think your best to create a new project, download an Actor from StencylForge and also download a Behavior. Then just follow the same steps to Attach the Behavior to the Actor.

(If it would make it easier, download a ship Actor, and the 'Fire Laser' Behavior... Just search for it)

Did you run through the Crash Course? It's good to get started and explains step by step how to attach behaviors and other basic things.

Hi, I've finished the crash course, the crash course is incomplete, the "enemies", "jump" key and.. forgot, so i fool around myself and TARA! glad that i made it, but after that i continue reading.. i getting confused, maybe im too noob?

Anyway, how do i add D-pad (left side of screen) and button (right side of screen) on screen for iOS?

In 2.0 there will be a pre-shipped On Screen Button behavior to simulate key presses. You can use this for your button and for the d-pad. Or if you want an analog d-pad, you can use this

But I can't find the Game Mobile Setting in 1:24? I'm using 2.0 beta.

For the beta you have to download and install the iOS patch from here:

You could also just wait for the official release of 2.0, it's really close now

Hi again, I've followed the tutorial as i mentioned in my last post, I've attached "Block Particle" as "Create Particles on Click" to "Block" as a behavior, when i test the game, i click on the "Block" and "Create Particles on Click" just don't work

Anyone can help please? "Create Particles on Click" behavior doesn't work..
