I brought this up in the "Ask a Question" page (http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,52061.0.html), only to find that others also do not know how to do it now (and thus assume it is not implemented).

With the StencylForge now gone, I cannot find any way to save assets from Stencyl to use in other projects. For example, I have a button actor that I have designed to transform into any button at will (with some sweet image manipulation). I used events to hold the coding and wish to keep it along with my settings for future projects.

Thus, my request (and the request of squeeb and LIBERADO) is to have a solution to export an entire asset (such as an actor type with all of its events).

NOTE: The "workaround" of copying individual events is not really a good option, especially when using a lot of "increment" codes (which STILL bug out on me) or using custom blocks that simply CANNOT be copied/pasted.

EDIT: It is my hope that this can be simple to implement. For those of us who still remember the days of SF, one could just right-click on an asset and upload the entirety of it to the SF (I still have a few assets there using that method). This request is to re-implement that with just an option to save on one's own computer instead of the unfortunately now-dead StencylForge.

We really need Stencyl to have the ability to export/import all events of any actor/scene.

As I didn't realize I was actually using 3.5, I just updated the issue to reflect that this is still a problem in 3.5 too.
  • Version changed from 3.4.0 beta5 to Stencyl 3.4, 3.4.0 beta5, Stencyl 3.5, 3.5.0 beta 1

+1.
I've tried the "copy-paste between instances of Stencyl" but found that game attributes are not recreated, but picks a random existing attr., which sort of messes things up.

It's been a week. Any updates? Just to know that someone with influence has noticed this would be nice.
