Journals / Solitude Adventures [Pre-Alpha]

Solitude Adventures is a puzzle game, embracing simple graphics with core puzzle mechanics. It aims to be fun and not overly complex, while still providing a good challenge. Of course it includes all the usual puzzle stuff like platforms and lasers. But the most important aspect of the game, is that it includes freaking meteors! That's right, meteors! On top of that there's some sweet animations going on here and there. Solitude Adventures will be available on the Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon Store. More info TBA.

Extension Ideas / Camera Extension [Work in Progress]

Work in progress!

For mobile device's camera and to receive the byte data

Have been implemented:
-Trigger the built-in camera in iOS and Android

Features to implement:
- Return the captured photo to Haxe as JPEG byte data
- Simulate a camera event from provided BitmapData for non-mobile platforms

The extension is still very buggy, so until its stable I won't upload it here (however can over request)

Suggestion Archives / Add setting for enabling status bar (iOS)

Some games/apps/utilities would benefit from having the status bar visible  and therefore it would be good to have a toggle option in the settings menu in stencyl.

Network-System-Status
What is it?
This is extension lets you check the network connection status, iOS Version and more.

Key Features
- iOS-platform extension
-Check if network connection is available
-Get Model, iOS Version, OS Name and Device Name

How to install
If you go under Settings > Extensions, in the top-right corner there is a "Install Extension" button. Click it and choose Network-System-Status.zip.

IMPORTANT:
It only works on iOS!

If there's no network connection and you use ads in your game then they won't appear but now you can display fx. a banner for your other games if there's no connection with the new network conncetion available block (it returns as a boolean!).

So we can check what version the users are using fx for ratings:

For ios 7 below one would use:

But this is just an example of what that could be done with it. There're many more possibilities

To the built in block (see attachment) why not add the possibility to make two or more buttons. This is a pretty standard thing. Fx if you have a reset button in your game you show an alert with two buttons as a built in safe. Or if you prompt a user with a rate request box they would have the option to select no/maybe later or yes. Or even if you have an in-game shop you can prompt the user when trying to buy an item "are you sure you want to buy this".

For the iOS side this would be something like:

I'm developing a method to display weather information using openweather APi and just hint small a problem.....
How would you split this into readable materials using stencyl blocks?

Here's an example of what it could return:

We're making a new quiz-type game for iOS. We're still behind with some of the game art including the icon, but we thought would get some feedback for the screenshots we've made for the app store. Since the screenshots are very important for trafic we want them to be perfect :)
