Ask a Question / Can't open old game projects - immediate crash [SOLVED]
« on: February 14, 2017, 12:34:13 am »

I've foolishly updated and now my I can't seem to open certain game projects.

I've opened Stencyl and then opened a game project which shows the "ouch this shouldn't have happened" dialog.
(Attached is the .zip with the logs)

This only seems to be affecting games that were edited in the previous version of Stencyl, anything beyond this
version (such as Dorsaka) is prompted to upgrade to the newest version.

Any input is much appreciated!

Hello The Stencyl Massive!

I would like to present to you my humble entry into the comp, called Dorsaka!
It's a simple maze-like escape game that might make you want to punch a monkey!

There's 21 screens/levels/room/mazes to blast through!

It's hard in places, but not unbeatable, especially when you figure out...well...I'll leave
that up to you!

Comments/suggestions/questions are greatly appreciated!

I've been working with Stencyl for a little while and I've just signed up to the Apple Developer Program and sorted out all that malarkey and I'm now trying to get a test app running through either the iOS Simulator or to run it on the device itself.

I've done a test within XCode (4.2) that runs on the simulator and runs on my iPhone 4S, however I can't seem to get my App from Stencyl running on either!  When I try and run it through the simulator I get an error "is the iOS SDK installed?" and if I try and run it on the device I get an error saying "could not test game on your iOS device"

I've attached the logs, as required.

It seems as though Stencyl can't communicate with XCode, but I could be wrong!
I'm guessing I've been an idiot somewhere but damned if I can see what I'm doing wrong!

Any help is much appreciated!
