Hello,

We decided with a few friends to do the LDJAM of december and we used stencyl. We had tools that allow us to work on a same game at the same time and that allow to merge everything. We plan to do it on mobile that's why the controls may not be perfect on PC.

So here it is Ned's Needs a special guy that must complete his basics needs just more often than the typical guy!

Ask a Question / Block panel missing in code mode

Hello everyone, I have trouble and cannot enter any new code on any of my projects today. So I just opened a project and tried with several version of stencyl and I tried several projects and in all of them, if I open a behavior (or scene event, anything where there is code), I don't have the block panel. I can't select the part of the code on the left neither, here is a screenshot. Did I have hit a shortcut or something that make theses panels vanish ? How can I get them back ? Thank you.

Hey guys,
After the PC/Mac version of ecotone http://store.steampowered.com/app/446070/?l=french,
we decided to publish a small android/iphone game based on the main game mechanics. We did a runner, because we wanted clear and simple controls, but we kept the "new gameplay at each level" thing. It was challenging to find 20 new ways to change the gameplay in a runner game...

Bug Archives / Mobile only code block, do not work on mobile.

As the title state I was using this block with the 9 september build, if the code didn't run on desktop as intended, the result is the same on mobile. I was trying on android so I changed the block to "do only on android" and the same result occured, the code do not play on android or mobile with this statement.

Bug Archives / Drag and drop frame to an animated tile do not work

Hello,

If I want to drag and drop a few frames in a tile in order to animate it I have the message "ouch blabla".
If I select "don't show again" and retry nothing happen.

It is a bit tedious to ad each frame one by one using the stencyl interface :/.
Anyone is aware of this issue ?

Let's say I have a toggle music button in my pause menu, how can I do to keep in memory his state when the pause menu is closed ?

Hello,
I have a huge and very boring issue with stencyl 2.2.
I want the player to enter a password to reach a level. Sometimes it work, but sometime this don't work. Why ? Because stencyl put strange spaces between my code block with no reason. This is random, If I put the block back in place, he will work, but the only fact I scroll on the code page may create space. Also the code may work, but if I relaunch the scene to try he may not work.

I don't know if there is a workaround for this issue ?

Description :
Screen resolution do not match user selection. If the user want to launch the game in full screen or change the resolution and export to windows, his choices will not be in the windows build.

Repro steps :

1) Open stencyl 3.1 (build of 2/08/2014)

2) open a game

3) Change the game scale or resolution

4) Export to windows (standalone)

5) Notice scale or resolution do not match the user choice

Workaround :
Select the scale or resolution, then launch a flash test build, then export to a windows build in order to get the correct scale or resolution.

Ask a Question / Shaders not working

Hello,

I have the last build from 02/08.
I never used shaders before so if I create an event in my scene with : "when created apply grayscale to scene" and If I publish the game for windows nothing happen.

If I create a scene behavior with the same code, when I launch my windows game I have a crash.

Where should I enter the shader code in order to work on windows please ?
