Hi all,in links you can find two simple apk realeased with Stencyl. It's a simple game permit to show and hide keyboard, the first link is the Landscape version, the second link is the protrait one.
+ button permit to show
- button permit to hide

In one of my phones (the only with Android 7) during use landscape version,  + press does not show Keyboard. Protrait seems do not have any issue.
Can someone try and post results including brand and model of device and Android version?

Trying to turn off Legacy but Android won't build.

What about this option? Is there a chance to compile target Android without OpenFL Legacy?

Hi all. I'm using "Load Image From URL" block to load some images for my flash games.
Now I'm trying to port one of them on Android platform and I've experienced this strange behavior.
I've try to load an image from my own network using 192 server and app need near 3 seconds to load an image. Using a remote server time grow to 5 secs.
In order to evaluate there's something wrong in my games I've build-up a simple stencyl app and experienced same issue with same times.

I've try to mount app in a real device and in an emulated one but nothing change.

Anyone have one or more advices to solve this annoying issue?

Ask a Question / Something wrong with sliding off screen

Seems there's something wrong during sliding off screen:
1. if you slide an actor completely off screen (i.e. -100 -100 if w and h of actor are < 100) and then try to return it back after several seconds you cannot see the movement but the actor appear at the final coordinates.
2. if you slide same actor not completely off the screen it remain visible and the coming back path is visible as expected.
In attached png you can see behavoirs used.
In attached gif you can see test i've done.

Is there a way to avoid point 1 behavior ?

Bug Archives / Something wrong with build 9179?

Seems there's something wrong with 9179, almost for me.
After installing new version I've make a new game and create and actor with an only animation.
Attached you can find 1x and 2x screenshot using flash test.
As you can see 1x is ok but 2x has big issue.

Anyone experiment something like that?

When you press mouse on a point where are two or more Actor with a onMousePressed (or released) event every actor with this kind of behavior trigger and execute script.

Anyone has an idea about how to trigger only one of these? Especially i'm interested to trigger the behavoir of actor on front.

I need to understand if there's a way to make something like that: I need to have a scroll popup working with swipe permit to hide part of actors when they are going out of popup during swiping.
Something like attached image.
Consider the black border in image isn't a border but a game part and can contains other actors and so on.

I need to change point at run-time to make some effects on my actors, i.e. growTo only on X  coord starting from a different Origin Point of the Animation depending from other variables.

Is it possible? I can use custom code if it's needed.

Hi,
reading OpelFL documents I've found an implementation of Bezier using path.
This feature permit to move an object from point A to point C pass through point B using a smooth curve.

I've trying an implementation in Actor using tween features and tested it without collision and seems has no issue.
It's pretty and can be implemented in a future Stencyl version.

My implementation:

Actuate.motionPath use tween inside. This make me confidend about Actor features used in this implementation, like in Actor.moveTo method.

Let me know if you import this feature in Stencyl, so I didn't modify Actor class code to any Stencyl update.

Suggestion Archives / A special Dynamic property for Actor

Hi,
Actor is one of the most important Class in Stencyl Engine.
Is it possible to have a special property defined, for example, free:Dynamic ? This property shall be use by developers as they wish and ignored from actual Stencyl Engine.
This will be very very useful for me and, why not, for other developers.

Dears, WEBP seems a great image format, more compression than JPEG with a transparency support.
I've take a look to this openfl library. What do you think about Stencyl integration?

Don't know if this topic can interest large part of Stencyl user, but I'm sure can interest a little part of developers.
To debug your Stencyl project you must debug the generated project you can find here: %APPDATA%\Stencyl\stencylworks\games-generated

After game selection you must create a new Flash Develop Project with the following data:
0. Go to %APPDATA%\Stencyl\stencylworks\games-generated\NameOfProjectYouWantDebug and then copy project.xml in other folder.
1. OpenFL Project
2. Location: %APPDATA%\Stencyl\stencylworks\games-generated\NameOfProjectYouWantDebug
3. Choose a project name
4. Leave 'Package' blank and 'Create Directory' unselected and create
5. Copy saved project.xml in %APPDATA%\Stencyl\stencylworks\games-generated\NameOfProjectYouWantDebug
6. Start Debug
7. Start Release

If Release is ok and Debug give you some problems, remember: Flash Develop need to run with jre 1.6 32-bit (you can find all you need in Flash Develop FAQ).
