Resolved Questions / Re: GUI Bug (Solved)
« on: July 22, 2011, 03:23:22 am »
Okay so after looking through some Java bug threads I found a solution to the problem. Turns out that the problem was being caused by my settings in the ATI Catalyst Control Center I was using. Turning off Adaptive Anti-Aliasing, SMOOTHVISION HD:Anti-Aliasing and SMOOTHVISION HD:Anisotropic Filtering will fix the issue. Also this works for anyone using similar settings in your NVIDIA display driver. I hope this thread helps anyone with similar issues and I'm glad I can finally start using Stencyl at last.

"Miracle Turtle Slayer"
"Full Metal Hobo Saloon"
"Chocolate Spatula Chronicles"
"Indiana Jones and the Kitchen Police"

This is better than Scrabble.

Thanks for the link Winzenheimer, I can't wait to get home to play Hydroah, the artwork looks amazing, '8bit killer' was also another great indie game created by Locomalito, I also advice people to check that game out as well.

8bit killer (Locomalito)
You must play this game.

Out of all the indie first person shooter games, this has to be the best one I've played, and the fact they kept the style completely retro and gave it a NES feel makes it an even better game to experience.

Lunch your pixel work reminds me of artwork created by Jonatan Söderström, very nice.

Here you can recommend epic indie games that you've played.
I'm sure many of you game makers have played that one game that inspired you to create your own.
I'll share one of mine.

King (Buster)
Worth checking out.

I can't count the amount of hours I've spent playing this, it's super addicting and amazingly simple to play. This game contains no story, the idea is quite simple, stomp on everything moving and avoid traps. My favourite thing about this game though is definitely the artwork. It matches the style of play perfectly, bright and happy.

What games would you recommend?

I just did a full check to see if any drivers needed updating, seems they are all fully updated. Not quite sure what to do here, any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. I've also posted a log file if anyone would like to check that out.

Resolved Questions / GUI Bug (Solved)

Hello, I've been having problems with the GUI not displaying correctly.
I tried talking with support but they said to bring the issue here to the forums.
I've installed the latest SW updates and Java 6 Update 26 along with the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, I'm also running Windows 7 64-bit.

The problem is some of the pop-up screens don't display correctly, they show up as shown below.
Scrolling over the bugged windows can reveal buttons and missing icons, sometimes clicking one can reveal the entire window, also the loading splash screen at start up is bugged for me in the same way.

I've tried several different solutions such as moving the program folder to a different directory and running the program in different compatibility modes, all of which lead to the same bugged screens.

Solved the problem.
