I still haven't figured this out.
The scene contains the following sprites with their corresponding behaviors:
- buttonActor (buttonBehavior)
- imageActor (imageBehavior)
When I click on the button it changes its label to: Show, Hide
The button actor's behavior (buttonBehavior) sends/triggers events: imageShowEvent, imageHideEvent
The image actor's behavior (imageBehavior) listens for these events via custom events and shows/hides the image.
This is very very simple to do in scratch. I have not figured it out in stencyl.
If someone could even build half of it I can figure out the rest. The half that I refer to is the button actor sending the imageShowEvent, and the image catching the imageShowEvent and then displaying itself, i.e. it's (single frame non-looping) animation.

Old Bugs (1.x/2.x) / Re: <MISSING STRING> error
« on: April 08, 2013, 10:58:13 pm »
I have the following system:
Ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit)

I extracted Stencyl into a directory owned by me.
Executed Stencyl (which is a bash script).
Starts ok, but all the button labels are "Missing String".
Cannot figure it out.

Thanks for your help!
