Have you tried using this block (image) to spawn that new object based on well, whatever you desire? Using layers really simplifies everything.
Sorry, i´m in a hurry (i´m using my phone) and I can´t really make a proper behavior for you right now but I hope this helps: Try setting a region based on mouse click/release using attributes, then get the width of all actors inside that region and create an object based on that! Please tell me if that helps or you still don´t get it. Not many are active in the forum nowadays :(

I´ve figured out a waaaaay faster and more efficient way of doing it!
Just split the timer into two attributes (seconds and decimals), adding "1" instead of "0.1" and drawing all of it in three consecutive text fields [Attribute for Seconds], [. (dot)] and [Attribute for Decimals], check the decimals everytime so they are never bigger than 99. (SCREENSHOTS ATTACHED)
Fully working timer! You can adjust it to have as many decimals as you desire!
