Yes you can use apples TestFlight feature for beta testing, it allows you to send builds to your friends via email.

In terms of getting your game out there, the best and most important way is to get featured by apple. Research the App Store, see if you feel your game meets the standards of the other games getting exposure. Also look at the list of past stencyl games that got featured http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,49227.0.html

Then fill out the promo request for on the apple developer portal and give apple 6-8 weeks notice of your release date.

Stencyl just doesn't support Admob mediation, use Heyzap or Tapdaq if you want to use Mediation.

How did you end up on Xcode 9?

did you get the app to Xcode with the method of exporting the ipa then deleting the Haxe Target?

Its depends on how you are trying to export. If you can create an iap then you can follow the guide here on how to export and delete the haxe target https://github.com/byrobingames/tapdaq/wiki/iOS:-Publish-ipa-with-Xcode

I think the problem is that you are a bit too early on Xcode 9, stencyl hasn't fixed all the changes apple have made yet. http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,54725.0.html

What do you mean when you say you can't publish directly from Xcode? I think there maybe be a way to add the icon in xcode and publish from there.

I haven't used iOS 9, not sure if stencyl is ready for it yet. Try setting the minimum targets in stencyl settings to a lower number, 9.0 or something

You don't really do that manually anymore, are you on Xcode 9? First thing to try is exporting the game as an Xcode project, ignore the haxe download pop-up try to run it, it won't work but it may fix your issues. Then go back to stencyl and test.
