Yeah, there is no immediate rush, as long as you have a plan and are working towards being compliant over the next few months you will be fine.

The current unity extension works with the latest version of Stencyl and is GDPR compliant, Past apps are fine because the user dowloaded them before the GDPR laws came into effect so any data stored was done before the laws. All new downloads will be GDPR compliant if using Unity Ads only.

Yeah exactly the current unity one is also at risk, the benefit of unity currently is that it is automatically ready for GDPR where as the other networks need SDK updates. Im looking into getting a new Unity extension built.

What sort of bugs? I don't think it was working on Android in 3.5.

Advert mediation is when you use a service like Tapdaq or Heyzap and add a few networks like Unity, Vungle, Applovin and admob. It gives you better coverage but also it should result in higher eCPMS as the mediation tool should search of the advert with the highest value.

However mediation comes with several problems now, first problem is finding a stable mediation tool now Robin the creator of Heyzap and Tapdaq is no longer supporting them. Im not sure how stable either of the extensions are in 3.5.

The next problem is the new GDPR laws, most networks will require a new SDK to be compliant with the GDPR laws, and since Robin is not here to update the extensions I think most of them will be on old SDKs.

My advice is to use Unity ads extension on its own, the SDK we currently have is GDPR compliant and works in 3.5 as far as I know. The other option could be admob if stencyl plans on updating the built in admob support to the latest SDK that was release yesterday.

I have tested Mediation using Heyzap, Tapdaq, Appodeal and single networks. I think mediation is fine but not a game changer, I'm quite satisfied using Unity only for now. In the future if Stencyl gets a stable hey zap extension and some stable extensions to use with it then I may consider going back to mediation.

Ask a Question / Re: Xcode 9 and iOS Target Version '11.0'

if it happens when testing on device then it will happen when its a live app. So is it only some sounds that are affected?

Id be interested in the response to this as well, I have been hearing what sounds like a sf being triggered twice when testing in 3.5 on device. My sound is triggered by a collision.

Hi Colin,
you use Unity Ads with Enhance extension? Works well?

Edit...
I'm deleting Admob out of my games for Unity, which I already use for rewarded videos.
How many customers will lose AdMob? Smart  move Unity...
But I expect a decrease in earnings.
I hope that Admob realizes that he has not managed the thing in a smart way.

No I have just been using Robins Unity extension, I haven't released any games in 3.5 but I think it still works. Im also in the process of getting a new Unity ads extension built.

I think I'm going to use Unity ads. With the 2.0 and above SDK Unity ads will handle the consent for you. This approach will only work if you are using Unity ads only, no other SDKs taking user data.

Hi, I'm wondering how these GDPR laws are affecting Enhance, if you use a network like Vungle using enhance is jungle the only data being stored? Enhance doesn't log any additional info?

Also are the Vungle and Unity SDKs the latest?

You could use the 'Actor is inside region' block in an updating event.

when updating
if player is inside region 0
do thing.

Ask a Question / Re: Xcode / haxe issues

for 3.4, all you had to do was delete the Haxe target to get the Xcode project to run.

Maybe in 3.5 its the same deal, just right click on the little haxe target thing and remove it.

Can you show some screenshots of your set up, are you testing on a device?
