alright so i just completed Idle Game Dev, but there is a bug that i cant seem to get rid of,  after money reaches 2^31 it will show 0, the value doesn't change to 0 but the game will show 0 when drawing the text, any idea how to fix this?

It IS awesome! but not possible unless i find some building tiles that look good or at least decent...., the random mechanic will be easy to implement but the part that will take the most will be figuring out good dialogues [every game you start will have every dialogue randomised] I want every dialogue to match the others one in most combinations.

Anyway I thought up a game, where every detail is random, from the way your character looks to the placement of the npcs and the dialogue, even the placement of the buildings, maybe even that of the furniture inside, and especially the ending,  the only detail that won't be random will be the terrain, well to be exact the placement of the terrain since the way it looks will be random too but it won't vary much, anyway I already have all the art I need for it, I'll get started on it right now and maybe in a month it will be done, I want your thoughts and suggestions on this, also definitely suggest a name since i can't think of any and I don't want to keep it named Random Potato forever,  oh also it will be a side scroller but there wont be any fighting or jumping, mostly talking which will take the most time to finish and won't be as boring as you might think, I might even try to introduce a story creator so people on Kongregate and other portals can create stories and share them with others(might take me an extra week or two), anyway getting started on the game wish me luck!.
Edit: On second thought the tile sets I have won't work, so if any artist wants to join me for this game all I'll need will be like 10 buildings and 4 types of terrain one for each season, won't be needing actors, might be needing furniture but not sure yet.

hmm you mean if train is open and you click hire it closes train and opens hire automatically? hmm... alright ill do that right now.
Edit: ill also make it work for every UI combination had to say this to make sure there's no confusion :D
Edit2:done, took me a lot less than I expected.

Just finished Idle Game Dev, I will release it to Kongregate and Newgrounds(and other portals) next week, until then if anybody has a suggestion to improve it or found a bug(hopefully i exterminated all of them) don't hesitate to reply, also I would love some criticism, on another note if there is an artist that wants 40% of the profit in exchange for an office background, buttons and around 10 actors out of which 5 humans with 2 animations each(1 dynamic 1 static), and 5 items that have 3 animations each(static animations), don't hesitate to contact me, I'll explain the rest of the details in private.

in case you still have problems, its not your graphics card, i use a radeon hd 4350 which is way weaker than yours and everything works fine, it might be your processor or ram, most likely processor.

So i wasted 3 or 4 hours trying to make some text appear when pressing a button, in a stroke of genius i decided to test if the conditional "If" works when i use it to make some text that previously worked to appear, and it didn't, after that and several other tries to test if it works i discovered that its actually When Drawing that doesn't work if you use it like this:
When Drawing
If Mouse was released on Actor
Its the same if you use "was pressed", however it works if you use "is down on" or "is over", this applies only to scenes, if you try this on an actor, nothing will work, it works if you use the event When Updating, which tells us the issue is When Drawing, not sure if this bug applies to any other event other than When Drawing since I haven't tested every single event(ain't nobody got time fo dat), also When Drawing will work if you don't use Mouse was released/was pressed, etc, also doesn't work when you use  Do after N seconds, anyway I would reinstall stencyl just in case the problem is on my part, but I am creating a game and reinstalling would take quite some time, if someone could test if they have the same issue and reply to this thread that would be great, thank you.

alright i figured out how to resize the background and now it fits the whole screen, i changed the finish line color to black and i've included a loading screen, tell me what you think and what else should i change :D

P.S.: each time the king gets stuck between an elevator and a block above the flash plugin crashes if you have any idea how i can fix that please tell me, also i decided to make the game full version with achievements, there is a certain order in the first level that makes the king do a 360 (it doesn't affect the game) any idea how i can make a behavior that detects when the king does a 360 so i can create an achievement for doing it?

level 3 is beatable you just need the right order, first click the right-most block then the one near it then the one the peasant is standing on, then click the left-most block then the one near it then the one the king is standing on and boom you won the level. if you use that order you win level 3 in the first try and yes i tested the game every level is beatable all you need is good timing and good  ordering.

so i just completed my first game... its called Guide the King , it is a part puzzle part platform part perfect timing, its just a short version since i wanna develop another game i thought i'd just release it with 10 levels but if kongregate accepts my sponsorship request ill create a full version with 30-50 levels and a ton of new features... maybe even some kind of epic boss battle.. imagine it a little block skying around hitting a huge boss while trying not to get blown to pixels it will mostly use a stomp mechanic... but there's a very small chance for kongregate to accept the sponsorship so i guess if they refuse ill try on other sites like addicting games if no one accepts ill just upload without sponsorship on as many sites as possible :D
P.S.: please tell me what you think and BE HONEST i love criticism since it helps me make the game more perfect... i love perfect things..
