I can't create a new game. I type in the name and the scale but then I get an error message. Logs are included.

I reinstalled Stencyl in different directions to test, but there is no help.

I'm quite happy with my last LD31 entry this time. Made it to the top 25 (#20) in the humor category rating . Heer Dunter has the best votings of all my LD games so far.

Here's also a graphic of the progress of my LD games so far. The overall quality is getting better.

To everyone else, participate in every jam. You'll get better every time for sure :)

Happy new year to everyone.

Thanks for the feedback :D

@Luyren: Sorry for the difficulty xD . It was to easy at first with only the hunters and I ran out of time, so I added spikes on the last minutes to make it more challenging.

Hi, this is my Ludum Dare 31 Jam entry

The game was made in 8 hours. I hadn't time to polish things up and add new content, sorry for that! But I think you may have fun for a couple of seconds :)

Description:
You play as a deer which rides a TV. Survive as long as you can.
Deer is a synonyme for Game and Screen is a synonyme for TV, so the theme will be used more than 1 time in the game ;)

Controls:
Left/Right arrow keys to move
Up to jump
Enter to start the game
R to restart the game.

Welcome to the most serious Ludum Dare entry of all time ;D

Controls:
Just the left / right arrows to move, the up key to interact.

-------------------------------- Spoiler --------------------------------

This time I present some kind of newsgame with hidden messages.

The theme can be understood as the world that we know and the hidden world in our reality, where the news is only available when you search for it.

I had some difficulties with the time. Therefore the entry is not as polished as I wanted it to be. But I hope the message of the game will be clear to everyone :)

The post jam version will contain more features, like more usable environment and more polished graphics, more sounds and music.

Have fun developing :)

What is the jam itself good for?
Making video games, getting better at making video games, sharing your video games with the world.

To add more arguments: My theme is a special one, in regard of the world affairs that concern us all. This is a serious game jam, but everyone can interpret it in his own way. I think also some funny aspects can be added if you are very creative. There will be a rating phase after the jam in 1 month.

Gamejolt has started the jam system some time ago, where everyone who is interested can start a jam. There are no offical rules for the jams and every can set his own jam as he likes to. I can not afford some prizes atm, but I wanted to. Unfortunately the good will and the motivation of getting better with every game made are the only prizes that are available. There also will be a chance to be selected and sponsored by blogs, websites and media if your game is special so it is also a jam to create a project for your portfolio.

Chit-Chat / What is it good for - Gamejolt Game Jam Jul 19 - Aug 30
« on: July 16, 2014, 09:39:10 am »
Hey everyone, I decided to create a game jam because I think it is time for this kind of audiovisual massage, that should be shared with the world.

Jam's site: http://jams.gamejolt.io/whatisitgoodfor

The jam's theme is war. Create everything related to war, but in the perspective of the victims.

Your character is not the hero nor the agressor, just like you and me, which will be dragged into this situation. You decide which experience the player will have (fight back, flee or be a victim).

The rules in short:
- You must use your own graphics, music & sounds. Please no copyrighted material.
- The game must be related to war
- Your main character must be a normal person like you and me. No special abilities related to combat training.
- You must put the jam's hashtag #jamwhatisitgoodfor in their your game's description.

Be inspired by this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpWmlRNfLck

Peace to you all out there who are suffering.
