Abandoned Bugs / Re: Not opening actor types
« on: April 21, 2015, 09:24:40 am »
Check the log while opening the actor. If the error is the "Java.." issue, try to delete the actor and then re-create it. I saw this bug even with fonts. Make a backup first.

Okay, may I ask, which version of Java do you have now? (You can see it in your log viewer at one of the first log messages.)

Java Control panel says: Version 8 Update 40. I had this version before and reinstalled this one and then it was fixed.

I just checked and installed the latest version (Version 8 Update 45 (filesize: 57.7 MB) Release date April 14, 2015

So far everything is ok.

The errors in your events can be fixed like Max Glocking says.

The Java error is a bug with certain Java versions. Please try upgrading to the latest Java 8.

Thanks! I already had the latest version but I uninstalled it, then downloaded it again and after the install the problem disappeared. So something was wrong with it before I guess.

You need to select your actor type. Which I'm guessing is "player"?

Also make sure "nothing" is "last created actor"

Thanks! This fixed one problem.

Hi everyone,

My elusive Java issue is back and it completely blocks me from using Stencyl.

Please find the test game and log attached.
I trimmed the game down as much I could to make checking/debugging it easier. I understand that it should not run (I deleted too much for that) but I get the very same error message in the full project as well.

How to reproduce: (it happens on my mac 5/5)
1. Open game “JavaIssue”
2. Test Game (Flash Player)
3. Error message shows up (Encountered errors while building your game…)

This happens in the full project as well, not because I’ve deleted stuff.

4. Click OK
5. It goes into “Ouch, this should not have happened…”  while opening the scene and that is the end of it :(

6. Someone hopefully comes up with a smart solution!

Thank you for helping me!

I have solved the problem by moving my whole project to a pc then export it then import it on mac. It is fine now.

Abandoned Bugs / Java? Unexpected problem on thread AWT-EventQueue-0:
« on: March 30, 2015, 01:29:11 am »
I just moved my project from pc to mac and while the example games work ok, in my project one of the three scenes cannot be opened (other two is fine) and I get this error message. Works perfectly on PC.

I am using the latest version of both Stencyl and java. Some details below and I have attached the full report.

Version:
2015-03-30 15:56:19,806 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: OS Name: Mac OS X

2015-03-30 15:56:19,808 INFO  [main] stencyl.sw.Session: Stencyl Version: 3.3.0 (b8281)

Log: (one can clearly see that it is ok with the other scenes, but freaks out on "Scene_1" (not best name I know))
