Just like with the shooter game below this, I do not believe a real time multiplayer extension is available.

@Ceosol thanks for the reply. The game is local multiplayer(as in you play from the same PC) therefore I do not require a multiplayer extension.Look  at the bare-bones engine to see what I mean -  http://www.fastswf.com/2rJMRsE .

Hello there fellow Stencylers

My name is Ridhwaan Patel.I am a pixel artist, looking for a programmer/ Brogrammer ,to collaborate with for an action platformer.

Well as mentioned before the game is an action platformer in the vein of games like Super Crate Box,Fez and Stencyl classic Tiny Guns by adventure islands. You play as a variety of actors trying to kill your opponent in a local co-op game.I have got the bare bones engine running which you can try over HERE (WASD and F for player1 and Arrows and L for player2).

Sorry for the low pic quality  :-[

Well first of all you have to be a programmer and then you also need to have a bit of experience(which I'll obviously want to see be it a game or just prototypes I just need to know that you'll be up to the task)

Well I suppose you could just Google me; my life isn't exactly private... but I'm basically a Indian living in South Africa who's trying to break into the indie scene.

Ask a Question / Re: 2 player,"One-Way-Platforms"

What I mean is that you should have 2 copies of each actors animation and make the actor change from solid to not solid. However, a problem with this is that with multiple one way platforms it may mess up.

Yeah I see plus I do require quite a few platforms in one level.

I do however have a new idea. A jump through platform with 4 different animations; one for nobody, one for character 1, one for character 2, and one for both characters and then switch to the appropriate animation (using colision groups) to collide with each actor.

I thought of this and even tried it but it didn't work though now I see where I might have gone wrong.I'll give it a try and I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you mean that I should disable the jump collision block.

Hello Stencylers

The Question

I'm trying to set up a one way platform system for a scene with 2 actors, both of which(the actors) should be able to jump on a platform at the same time.

The Problem

I've downloaded the behavior from the forge but I can't think of a way to tweak it to handle 2 actors using the same platforms, due to the fact that if one of the actors are on the ground and the other on a platform or if they both on top of the platform at the same time the behavior is caught between changing to a solid/pass- through animation.

Ideas:

I'm stumped with concerns to any ideas.I first tried to use 2 different animations with different collisions but that didn't work when both actors are supposed to be on the same platform at once.

References:

Any ideas are appreciated

Really well done from what I can see. It's got a bunch of potential.

Feedback:
Basically everything what Unept said,I liked the story though it definitely needs to be shortened and a voice over would add tons more to the games sense of humor.Bob desperately needs animation I was thinking he can get some after he goes through the first door though I do think that the current art style really brings something to the game.

Keep working on it and I think this could be something big.

Oh and one last thing the game reminds me a bit of the Stanley parable (that's a good thing ;).)

Just want to say that we'll be rolling out a brand new site ahead of the upcoming 3.0 launch. This will happen within a week. This way, we won't try simul-launching too many things at once and risking something going wrong.

Jon are you still rolling out the new site?

I was actually going to, but for reasons I can't disclose, I'm holding on to the old site for a few days more.

Great to hear, can't wait.
