Resolved Questions / Re: How to Pull an Object (actor)
« on: July 09, 2012, 05:00:55 am »
If your game is physic based, with gravity and such, I would say a stick joint would do the trick.
That depends on the feel you want in the game.

Otherwise make an attribute telling if the actor is held and position the actor at the players x,y plus some offset pixels.

However I still need to be able to make joints in runtime, which unfortunately does not seem possible.
I hope support for this will come later on.

In a future version it would be nice to be able to position joints on other places than in the center of an actor. At the moment it is possible to do so with a custom code block, but that only works for flash, not iOS.
The current joint editor is nice but a bit limited.

It would be VERY nice to be able to do more things than just the default coding blocks allows you to do in iOS.
I don't like objective-C but the ability to make things like runtime joints is very important for my game ideas.

Thank you!
I guess this means that I am quite stuck with my game until Stencyl 3.0.

I want to set up joints between actors during gameplay.
The only examples I have seen of this is made in actionscript (such as the ragdoll demo in stencylforge).
Is this possible in iOS?
Is there any kind of example for that.
