Something has been wrong with my stencyl ever since I played around with its settings, but I can't remember what I did. Maybe because I downloaded Stencyl  2.1 to try some stuff out, but I deleted it afterwards though

Now, whenever I try to create an actor through the Stencyl editor or by importing, it always says Warning: image data missing when I click on the actor after it has been created.

The thing is I once downloaded a joystick game and it worked on the webpage but after I open it on Stencyl the joystick stopped working as well. So, maybe there is something wrong with my laptop or with my stencyl.

Thank you so much btw, I really appreciate your help. I've been stuck on this issue for months.

Hi I tried your example but it still doesn't work... Does your joystick actually move when you use it? I think I might be missing something simple.

Ok I replaced it and now the actor just always moves right; can you please explain why can't I move the joystick and why the values from the drawing blocks don't show up.

Can you please show me how you would do it? A concrete sample would be great, thank you!

Ok so I have tried your suggestions but still nothing happens; nothing draws and when I click the joystick it's still not responsive. Could someone please post their code of a successful joystick so that I can see please!!

Also, why can't I find the behavior by Jon on Stencylforge and how come my Stencyl doesn't have the ENABLE JOYSTICK blocks!!!

I have a problem with any joystick behavior or extension.

With the extension (http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,29026.0.html), after I enabled it, everything works fine except the joystick is not responsive; when I try to drag the inner circle with my mouse or when I click it, it doesn't move, as a result the character controlled doesn't move. This also happens when I download the joystick behavior on Stencylforge, for some reason I can't find the one by JON???

I also tried the built in blocks of code provided by Stencyl, and again I can create a joystick but after assigning it to an actor, I can't even move the joystick.

I think it might be because I don't have the ENABLE JOYSTICK block (PIC1), which I can't seem to find anywhere. Or it would be because joystick is only meant for IOS, which shouldn't be the case because it worked on the flash version posted in the forum. Maybe I shouldn't test it on flash?? I'm really confused!
