Ask a Question / Re: Top Ten High Scores working in flash but not html5
« on: November 18, 2018, 06:26:05 pm »
Oh ok cool thanks for your help. I just republished it but it seems to have the freeze still on enter button. But as in have realised it is pointless anyway because I was wanting to record top ten global scores. It is just for some holiday fun sent out to a few clients and I was going to give them  a prize after we are back for the highest score. I will check out new grounds and see if I can work it out. I have a version before i added all the top ten business that just recorded current and high score and i will revert back to that. Am I able to publish a game like this even though it is not original and is essentially just a  re-skinned flappy birds demo? I am not selling anything so should be ok i guess. Anyway thank you again.

I have just realised that this top ten function might be useless anyway because it is only saving locally in your browser so it is only saving each players  own top scores not all players top score which defeats the purpose.

Here is the published game. Any ideas why the enter button function for highscore is not working in html5?

I used this guys awesome tutorials and functions and made a few amends. I have it working exactly as I want it to but when I publish to html5 the enter button doesn't work? I really want it published in html5 so people don't need to download flash and it can be played on an iPhone.

Scoring systems and other great tutorial from this dude

Oh I have just realised that the scoreboard is only local as in for each person playing it is remembering/saving their top 10 scores. What do I have to do to get it to save all players playing?

Ask a Question / Help integrating a leaderboard for html5 game
« on: November 08, 2018, 02:02:49 pm »
i have reskinned the flappy bird tutorial and have current score and high score going. I have published as html 5 because i want it to be used with out flash online on desktop and phone. It is non commercial and only for a short time over xmas holidays as a bit of fun.

I would like for people to be able to post or record hgscore and have a leaderboard running either in html or on the game itself. Award some prizes to highest scorers etc after the holidays.

I have no idea where to start. I found this, and it looks like it would be great but I don't understand how to apply it.

my game is here

Extensions / Re: [HTML5] Leaderboard in Google Spreadsheet
« on: November 07, 2018, 07:36:17 pm »
This extension looks to be exactly what I need, but I am lost on how to integrate it. I have set up the google drive part ( I think) but I am not sure about the stencyl side. I am obviously a complete noob, I have managed to get a flappy bird game going and I am using it in html 5 which is what i want. Just a fun web based game for xmas. I have re skinned and I have a score and high score happening but i would love to also have a leader board either in the game end screen or under the game in html. Can anyone help me get the script to work in the game. I put in the address when created but when it comes to name and score etc are they attributes? Where does someone enter a name etc I am lost.
