@tigerteeth: That doesn't work. BTW: the scene is smaller than the screen!

Maybe I should file a feature request then to add a configuration option to the fullscreen-mode telling it where to position its origin?

Hi!

@Matt: I've attached a sample game to this post. As you can see in the screenshot, the game is positioned in the upper left area. I think, it definitely should be placed in the center.

@noxtudios: But don't you have to design different scenes for each resolution that way? I'd like to design the scene for the lowest resolution and have it automatically work on other resolutions and aspect ratios.

Kind regards

Dennis

Hi Matt!

Thank you, but I know how to set up the scaling. :-)

I designed my game for the lowest resolution possible - as the documentation suggested. I've set the scaling to Fullscreen and I was expecting the content to be centered and the background repeated, but the content actually is in the upper left area. Setting it to "Stretch To Fit" looks ugly in an resolution with a different aspect ratio.

So, I'm searching for a way to tell the fullscreen scaling to center my content. Is that the solution you were thinking of?

Thanks.

Kind regards

Dennis

Ask a Question / Center Full Screen Scaling (iOS)
« on: March 07, 2016, 01:27:20 pm »
Hi there!

This has already been asked but not answered in this thread: http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,42115.msg236600.html#msg236600

(And as the forum suggested, I've opened this new post)

I'd like to use full screen scaling on a mobile device (on iOS specifically currently), which just fills the rest of the screen with the background pattern. However, the scene contents are all in the upper left corner and not centered, as I would've thought.

What's the cause of this? Can it be changed?

Thanks.

Kind regards

Dennis

Hmm... Seems to be related to the font itself. I used another font file and now it works.

Ask a Question / Font cut in half
« on: February 14, 2016, 11:11:57 am »
Hi!

There were a few questions about fonts being vertically cut in half  when displayed, but not many answers. I have the same problem: I want to draw the score in my hud, but it always gets displayed in half (see the attached image).

Any idea what that could be?

I have put my "set current font to..." above the "draw text" block.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Ask a Question / Performance considerations for logging
« on: February 13, 2016, 09:23:57 am »
Hi!

I just have a quick question concerning printing something to the console - the "official way" of debugging as it seems. Does using the "print"-block on many occasions affect the performance of the game somehow?

I'd like to use the block to print out debugging statements and keep them in the finished game.

Thanks.

Kind regards

Dennis
