Ask a Question / Re: Actor Types - One (all) for "Player"
« on: February 26, 2020, 06:40:38 am »
Sorry  :-[ that was not the question.
English is n ot my prefer language.
Unfortunately I cannot explain it better in English.

I have an actor type under "actor types" called "player". There I have different animations as Behavoirs (walk, idle... see Screenshot "actor types - player.jpg "). This one I have assigned the "4 way movement". In its event (see screenshot "actor beavoirs event.jpg") I don't know how I can change the animations.

I know that I can change the animations under "actor types" - "player" - "Behaviors". But I am interested in the codeblock!

And then I have under the "Actor Types" for each movement (walk right, idle, hocke shoot, jump look right...) extra animations (see screenshot "actor types - animations for player.jpg") which are not necessary or do not belong at all.

Ask a Question / Re: Changing scene size - where are the layer?
« on: February 26, 2020, 06:24:22 am »
That's bad! :o
Because in the layer palette are all layers. :(
Only workspace is empty. :-[

It's a "bug"?
Shrinking of scene size should not delete anything!

Ask a Question / Actor Types - One (all) for "Player"
« on: February 25, 2020, 09:00:18 am »
I've used the crash course kit first to see how it works... then i created  a new  blank game.
One of my actor type is my player which has a lot of behaviors (walk, idle, shoot....).
As actor behavior i use the "4 way movement".
I've added the "4 way movement" to my player and set the control keys and the animations (not all but a part of it).
On the actor behavoirs event for "4 way movement" i don't know how to change my animations.

In the crash course kit there is a clown and noni and in each of the actor types are the behavoirs.
By clown it's idle and stomped, by noni idle (left, right), jump (left, right) and walk (left, right).

So what are the different if i use for my player more then one actor type (each one with his own animations) and in my scene i've the actors in the palette (right side).

Ask a Question / Changing scene size - where are the layer?
« on: February 25, 2020, 08:58:24 am »
Hi,

if i change the size of my scene, where can i find my "player"-layer at workspace?
My scene size was to big (200x150) so i changed it (200x64) - after i placed the tiles and actors on it - and now i don't see it on my workspace!
My workspace is empty. :-\

Changing size back does not help.

Ask a Question / Re: Tileset draw on canvas
« on: February 18, 2020, 06:24:13 am »
Thanks, this helps. ;)

Can you please tell me how to calculate the Boundaries size of with, when my tiles are 16x16 and i want to scroll the camera? :-[

Like Super Mario on NES/SNES... how "long" (with) is one level? :o

If i draw it (16x16 Tiles) on my Scene (mouse released) you see there will be space between. :o
How to import it to work?

Ask a Question / Stencylpedia Update - Thread
« on: February 12, 2020, 09:07:50 am »
Sorry, but there is no way to post in the Thread like i quote:
Quote
If you see anything that is wrong in an article or the blocks guide, please feel free to point it out here.

The Crash Course Kit should be updatet for stencyl v4.
If you don't know what's wrong:
In the Actor Behavior for Walking look for the Created Event (when created) and you will see (i hope). ;)

Then please update picture on site too.

PS: Will post more. ;)

Ask a Question / How does this names and can i do it in stencyl?
« on: February 11, 2020, 02:24:47 am »
Hi,

sorry for this stupid question, but i don't know how it names and if it is possible to do it with/in stencyl. :-[

So i think a picture will say more then a word. ;)

edit:
Ok, now ::) i find it:
http://www.stencyl.com/help/view/the-camera/
http://www.stencyl.com/help/view/backgrounds-and-foregrounds/

13
I only  used the "Built-In Editor" in stencyl.

It crashed only one times!

14
Wow! :o
No response, no comment?! :-\

15
I'm trying the tutorial and on Step 35 stencyl crashed. ???

What have i done?
As on Step 35 (of the tutorial) i saw that my "stars" picture import was wrong (saw no picture background) so i open it and want to edit the picture -  then the crash comes up.
Then i deleted the background stars and created a new one.
