Paid Work / Artist Needed
« on: November 05, 2012, 06:27:21 pm »
Hey, I wanted to see if there was any artist that wanted to help me create a pokemon-like game, as there's so many people looking for one, but not many games cover the exploration and all that comes with pokemon-like games... it's not a fully developed idea, but we can discuss details...

I'm not asking for someone to do all the work, but if you are good at terrain, or characters or whatever then we can split the work equally... Message me if you are interested, or have any questions.

Just looking for a partner in crime.

You can change the size of the screen in the game settings.
I know that, but the problem is that I already did. Height is set to 20, but it's more like 40. This wouldn't be such a big problem if I could edit the are that's extra. Currently, it doesn't show up in the scene editor. D:

Okay, so I downloaded a new character from StencylForge, and he's showing up. But the problem still remains that there is so much extra space at the bottom of the screen that's not supposed to be there.

Hmmm...I actually haven't seen a really good run, and gun game made with stencyl. Count me in if you need help. I could see this being a cool collaboration if a bunch of people get into it.

Definitely, any ideas about the game?

Ex. Inside an Alien Spaceship, that's going to blow up, and you have to get out of the multistory ship while killing aliens and reaching the stairs to get to the next level down, until you finally reach the bottom, so that you can get back into your spaceship.

Ex. A mine's caving in and you have to get out before you're crushed, and you must avoid obstacles, take the right path, and destroy sabotagers. (<-Probably not a word, but you know what I mean)

Ex. Could be like a vertical scrolling game, where you're in a tunnel underwater, there's a crack at the bottom, and you have to climb to the surface of the water before the water catches up to you and drowns you.

^Just a few ideas^...

Here's what my scene looks like:

I encountered an issue. If it's not a bug and just something obvious I overlooked, then I apologize.

I'm trying to make a side view game that could be compared to the original Mario games. I create the scene, (10 height X 100 width) put the tiles down, my actors, and then I try to Test Game. My screen pops up, but my Actor isn't there, and the height is greater then I set it to.

Please Help Me!

You'll have to use the Electrotank Multiplayer kit, but I don't recommend doing this since the work is very difficult I hear and you probably won't make any return.

I like the idea of a side scrolling shooter. I'd be willing to help you... for a cut of the rev.
I'd be willing to help too, (for a cut of the rev. and acknowledgement)

You can make games like checkers (not games with commonly updating positions from both players). You will have to learn PHP and host a site. You can use the HTTP POST and GET blocks under Game\Web.
EDIT: Can you cut it out with the glows?
I'm going to have to check that out, thanks

Stenyl Forge is annoying. Hard to find something there.
But I'll try that multiplayer kit today.
Me too

@SWATTLAMA Okay, thanks. I'm going to have to check that out. (Should have looked in StencylForge first -_-)
