There aren't any that I'm aware of. I had a little background with programming when I jumped in. I suggest skimming through Stencylpedia just so you know how the program works. I caught on quickly. From there it's been a learning experience.

I think it is definitely possible. I plan on making one myself but first I need to clear my current plate of projects.

It won't be an easy task. You might run into an issue if you plan on making a large overworld. Eventually the performance will drop if you make it large enough. But you can always make a scene change, which is something you don't seem to want to do.

Set the scale before importing the image. The image needs to be the same size as the scene in order to stay put. I think this action is different between Flash and mobile.  Try setting the background to repeat.

Yes the Log Viewer, do you see your print command? Is the actor killed afterwards?

The event works on my end so something is disabled on your end. Best solution is to recreate this in a new project and if it still fails upload the project for someone to look at.

I had a look in the editor, if your scene size is larger than your screen size you have to make an actor as the background so that you can make the background stay in view.

You need to set your background to repeat, in which case your background needs to be repeatable. If it isn't then it will have to be static, or you can make it a little bit bigger to show that it scrolls, or you can set up multiple actors as background. Each has positives and negatives, you'll have to work at it. I'm against using 1 gigantic background but maybe it will work for flash.

Leave your game screen as it is, change the scene size inside the scene settings depending on what you're doing.

I noticed this on iphone6 portrait view. The bottom had a black horizontal line because the background fill didn't fill there.

EDIT: It was in iPhone6+. I patched it by creating a filler actor to cover the black space.

I'm not clear on what you did, did you go to Game Settings > Mobile > Versions > iOS Device Version?

DELETE = COPY ELSEWHERE (just in case)
Try deleting the file 'iOS 7.1.simruntime' located in Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes.
Try deleting the other versions too.

Booleans default to false, try swapping the logic around. Although it will be odd considering the name of the GA.

The first thing you should do is load save file. From there check the boolean, if it is the first time, set up the GAs and save file. If it is not the first time, load a new scene.

Try changing the iOS version in mobile settings within Stencyl. Try this http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,45140.msg253021.html#msg253021

After you compile for the simulator, hit the log button to see if there were any errors, it should say positive things such as BUILD SUCCEED. Let the simulator load a bit, sometimes it can take up to 30 seconds to kick in.

Make sure you set up your certificates and profiles prior to going into xcode. Yes that screen in xcode is different, I would try clicking Download All after you've done the previous things.

I do not recall any command line tools. In xcode go to pref and downloads, there should be simulator versions to download.
