Downloaded and installed Stencyl.
On start it tells me I need Java 8 so I install jdk 8u201.
Now stencyl doesn't start at all, no errors, popups etc just nothing *sigh*

I'm on Mac Mini 2018 w 32GB Ram, Macos Mojave 10.14.3

Looks like you ran into a bug with building the cppia host in Stencyl 3.4. I could never figure out what caused that bug, unfortunately, but this should help you get around it.

Yep that fixed it, thanks! I'm considering activating my subscription again but I'll wait for 3.5.0, any idea how long it will be?  Thanks again!

Try (IIRC) debug > cppia > rebuild cppia host. Then try testing again. If it doesn't work, post your logs.

What does the (IIRC) mean?  Sorry for being such a noob

Rebuilding the cppia from the debug menu inside stencyl did not help so here comes the log zip-file.

I'm trying to test my game with the cppia option but can't get it to work and I don't know what is wrong. I did the visual studio installation and testing with the winodws option works fine. Is there anything else I need to do?

Hello!
I just wanted to ask what the future looks like for Stencyl. How far off is the 3.5.0 update? At what pace is Stencyl developed and updated? Don't want to invest time (and money) in a product that has an unceratin future. Sadly any useful info seems to be unavailable for non subscribers.

Why am I asking this?
Coming from Construct 2 I'm sick of having to rely on 3rd party / usermade plugins that might breake or be discontinued.

edit: Forgot to mention having to use html5 wrapper for everything. *sigh*

When I follow the suggestions in stencylpedia and import the image for my tileset using 4x that I made 4x the size it looks weird when I run it on my android device but if I make the tileset 1x size and import it at 1x it looks normal, why is this?

Search for my tutorial on Stencyl scaling to have a better understanding. It will take some work to make it more optimized tho, because you probabky need libraries.
