Yeah of course...I found it much easier remaking it...the original took like a week, and the remake was only three hours, because I pretty much understood how everything works by now.

By the way, another error here...
you created the actor at x=0, y=0. That's a definite position (i.e. related to the scene), so even if it worked the object would have spawned at the top right corner of the screen. I think changing the position to "x=x of self" and "y=y of self" (the blocks can be found under the actors category) will help.

Also, check collisions so that the bullet does not collide with the actor, or the "kill on collision" behavior on the bullet will kill itself as soon as it's created.

It does it on and off and I don't understand why but if I restart stencyl enough times it fixes itself. But yeah most of the behaviors I'm not using at the time it will say error and try to open all of them up at once I think I got a buggy stencyl.Sometimes it does it out of the blue sometimes I haven't made changes to anything and then presto there is the bug it some times 3 behaviors but its mostly at least 10 and up and no matter whether its 3 or more half the time it will just freeze and look at me like its innocent.
Well...someone must be not innocent, be it Stencyl or you. :P
But seriously, if you think it's a bug, post in the bug report forum. Remember to take screenshots of what happened...


oh and, by the way, try to speak in sentences. blocks of text without punctuation looks like ancient Chinese to me.

Hmm. the behavior you posted will seemingly kill the actor when it is clicked...might not be what you want.

Maybe try the "health pack" on stencylforge? I believe you will be able to adjust the settings to meet your needs.

I changed the y of self to y speed but nothing happened actually what happened when I first changed it I got the most annoying bug I could ever get on stencyl just about every behavior I wasn't using at the time said it had bad data and tried open up about 50 or 60 behaviors up at once but it only done it twice and then I checked out everything and nothing.
Wait...50 to 60 behaviors?.
Oh crap. Then there's nothing I can do for you then...if one change leads to that, probably means you've got a lot of interlocking functions. I suggest you seek support from other more advanced programmers.

Ahhh....that mistake. I did it before too, no need to feel sad about that.
the block

"if (facing right?) as Boolean"

should be

"if (get actor value[facing right?])as Boolean"

By the way, I'm not sure about this, but you'd better check. I remember the actor value in the Jump and Run Walk behavior should be "Facing Right?" with capital letters....not sure though. I suggest copying the whole thing to prevent typos.

I myself use Firefox. I haven't quite anything to complain about, so I'm still an avid FF user. However, I'm sure Chrome is fine as well.
Well according to one of my friends, he said that Chrome had a confusing layout and not as fast as Firefox. That was just from his experience though.
Gotta disagree with this one...Chrome feels simpler than both IE and FF, from where I'm standing :P

Hmm...for starters, I believe the first line is supposed to be "If x speed of self >10 or y speed of self > 10"..it says y in your behavior, meaning that damage will occur whenever the collision happens somewhere above y=10.

I'm not sure about anything further, though.

Hmm....more tutorials on behaviors? Maybe even kind of a "behavior wiki" or something like that...
The current articles only provides basic info, I just think there should be a place where people can look at explained examples and learn from the work of others.

Not exactly a stick person, but well...It's about as good as I can reach in Frame-by-frame animations.

50 frames...good luck exporting them into Stencyl.

A really crappy thing happened to me today...
it's a long story, but in brief, I lost the file, it forced me to spending the whole morning remake game.

But don't worry folks...the info is now completely restored, and I'm continuing work on it.

No. Create dust generates a bunch of identical pixels behind the actor. The effect I'm trying to make is stationary.

First try on sprites, that is...seems quite successful.
I might try to use more colors in later games.

By the way, posted some skeleton sprites that might be used in later levels of the game.
